The news is getting more and more obvious about the supply shortages to come.

You get the picture. The USDA has this to say:

There are currently no nationwide shortages of food, although in some cases the inventory of certain foods at your grocery store might be temporarily low before stores can restock.

You get the picture. It would be a good idea to continue rushing your preparations to completion. The collapse will come rapidly, and to those who ignore these signs, seemingly without warning.

wife has even started to roll her eyes less when I make another sams club run for MORE rice and beans

Yep prices on everything just keep going higher and higher. Unfortunate for me because I’m diabetic. Meat, beans, and vegetables are my staples. I can’t eat rice, bread, or pasta, and can eat whole grains in limited quantities. Means all those emergency foods are poisonous to me and I’ve got to work around them.

I am diabetic as well. You should look at this study here:

That’s fascinating! I wonder if its the fiber in the beans that is counteracting the carbs in the rice. I think I’m gonna run me an experiment. If it works, I’ll be able to expand my food preps. Thank you for that link!

funny thing, diabetic wife can eat beans and rice with no spike. BUT pasta and breads are a big no go for her even in smaller portions. good luck

It works for me. I am posting a recipe for you to try. It does well for my blood sugar. Check out my next post.

But, but, muh CCP comrades will help us out because they love us?
(darr, derp, drool)
Meanwhile Gill Bates and CCP are buying up farm land and emperor Xi Obiden’s best government that money can buy is paying farmers more to not grow anything, this should end well.
Not really.

Freeze dryer has been running non-stop for about 8 months now. Every ~36-40 hours I get another 15 pounds of food stocked away that should last up to 30 years. If it doesn’t help me, it’ll help my children.

Of those 9, the only ones I’ve seen are frozen lemonade concentrate and sometimes thinner selection of water and Gatorade. But I’ve seen thin selections of water off and on for several years at Kroger where I normally shop, so that’s nothing new.

But price? That’s a different matter, around here the changes are most noticeable in meat

They had to do SOMETHING!! The’d ran the “charge the same and give you less product” in to the ground. At some point, the’d cheapened the experience to well past the we will pass on your product level.
