What I’m dying to see now is whether the damage from the shots gets so undeniably bad in another 5 weeks (now til 1/4/22) that the mandates get quietly walked back completely.
That may not even matter though, as we all know the real reason they had to back off (for now) is because the loss of staff resulting from forcing the issue would have left them SOL.
I fully expect that situation will be worse still by January 4, as flu season and the serious adverse effects of the shots will have hospitals in a world or hurt. That’ll make the potential loss of staff inclined to walk (rather than capitulate to the mandate) orders of magnitude worse than it is already.

Really wish I had much of option here in Australia. Currently I’m burning all my leave, and my work has been kind enough to give me another month of unpaid, but if I want to put food on the table I have to get jabbed.
Even people who’ve had life threatening reactions are getting told they can’t get exemptions, and it’s at the point where people with heart problems can’t see a cardiologist to get an exemption…because they haven’t been jabbed!?!?!!
The place has gone insane, and all I can do is try to hold out a little longer and hope the narrative collapses. I’m young and healthy enough I shouldn’t need anything to fight off covid, but apparently that’s not a choice I’m allowed to have any more.

It’s mandatory by government edict right across everything, farmer, surgeon, to ditch digger.
There’s supposedly legal challenges, but they’re not going to matter if you can’t put food on the table. The minor pro is I’m not based in the northern territory, $5000 fine and/or jail for remaining unvaccinated there.
Australia is all sorts of fucked.

Bluey, I hope you folks in Oz can find a way to claw your way out of this hole. I’ve been watching developments there – to the extent we get any real information about it here, US media is just as much shit as I figure AUS media is, on what I’ve been told by based Aussies – and it’s sickening how quickly and effectively the totalitarianism has been implemented down under. Moreso how much the population there has rolled over for it, protests notwithstanding.
Your country is, or at least was, a really cool place not so long ago. Like all westernized societies the world over, it has lost is way badly, and what disturbs me more still is that I consider events there a preview for what is to come in the US, which really isn’t that far behind the curve from where AUS is right now.
We have all the same sort of evil policies and people in place driving events here, sans the utterly insane gun control policies, so I fully expect efforts to roll out the same level of tyranny on our continent. I can’t deny it gets to be very discouraging, but of course that is part of the program being implemented; a societal scale psyop to break the will of those strong enough to see the bullshit for what it is. Regrettably, most people are already broken by the stress of modern life, so those of us who aren’t yet face a rough battle indeed.

I’m thinking since my company is trying to replace us with Shruthi and Ravi anyway they’ll try to get rid of the unvaccinated before the year ends or they’ll be on the hook for the 401k match for 2021.
