So now it takes less than two years to become an Eagle scout? They just began accepting girls 22 months ago. When I was a boy scout, there were time in rank requirements. That was one of the reasons why I never went further than Life, with the other being that I discovered females.
Or is this another case of them making it easier for females, so that they can be all woke and stuff?

The Troops in central Texas let it all go to shit in the 90’s. 12 scouts around the campfire watching 2 scouts cook? All 12 get the merit badge. 2 scouts build a nature trail? 1 gets his eagle project. Shit, I tell ya.

According to the article, the requirements to make Eagle Scout are the same for boys and girls. She is 16. If this was a 13 year old, you might have a point. I don’t think you do.

There are two possibilities:
1 That they have made it easier for girls to score points in wokeyness. It doesn’t require changing requirements in writing, merely in application.
-or-
2 Becoming an Eagle scout is now easier than it used to be. The scouts are, after all, having a lot of recruiting and membership issues. The same happened with martial arts- they have become belt factories.

Back when I was in Scouts, I knew a guy who went all the way in 2 years, so it is possible under the old guidelines (I don’t know if they have changed or not).
BUT to be this fast it has to be carefully planned… and she probably had assistance, at least with the planning and maybe more as others have alluded to; it sounds like her family wanted he to be ‘historic’…
