Mississippi says to isolate after testing positive for COVID-19, or face up to 5 years in prison and a fine. They are going to make it a FELONY to not isolate after testing positive. The crime? Failure to obey an order of a health official that involves a fatal disease. This is the same penalty as battery on a LEO or selling small amounts of weed.
Under this order, you can’t have visitors and must lock yourself in a different room of the house from the rest of your family.
Or you could not take a COVID test. If you take a COVID test, what will it change, except to possibly make you a felon? Just don’t take the test.
Also in the same story, the state’s only Level 1 trauma center, the University of Mississippi Medical Center, also announced on Friday that it would require all staff and students to be vaccinated, a reversal from its previous policy that allowed employees and students to choose not to be vaccinated so long as they wore N95 masks.
Refusing to take the test will only work for awhile. Prison times are here for not isolating. Soon, there will be prison time for not vaccinating. The isolation camps are coming.
I won’t be put in a camp, no matter what it is called, or why they want to do it.

I read that in Israel a positive anti-body test is now considered equivalent to a vaccination. If it’s good enough for them, it should be good enough for us…

The shit we all know is inevitable has to kick off sometime. These sacks of dog squeeze are employing every available gambit to move up the timeline with pinch points galore. Couldn’t be more obvious that they are working a full spectrum ploy to provoke the response they know is coming. Everything they do is an insult and attempt to damage us into suffering and submission.
We are witnessing here the seizures and death throes of a dysfunctional and angry rulership that is desperate to retain its power and control at all costs. It is now lashing out and attempting to level all opposition in a final bid to insure it’s own survival. They need to be thoroughly disabused of the idea that they are destined to rule and are owed the respect and loyalty of the serfs.
I guess they think they’ve got this. There was a time when I didn’t like the odds for the good guys so much. After seeing what has and still is going down in Afghanistan, I’m feeling a lot more confident that their asses can actually be kicked in. Add that to all the other instances of their inability to get shit done properly we have seen over the last 20+ years, and it looks like they are desperate to tangle before their capabilities degrade any further.
And so be it. The good guys aren’t getting any younger waiting for the big show, and the thirst for finally setting things right has gotten right unbearable. I knew in my gut years ago there was going to be no other way out, and piss poor odds of making it out the hard way. Every day is further confirmation of that, but we still have to do it.

Those who threaten fines and jail time for small stuff like this aren’t thinking ahead about how many people they would have to imprison… even the USSR didn’t have enough jail cells for 30% of the population! (or even more).
I’ve heard some people express skepticism about the number of people who have been vaccinated for COVID. Do you believe the national numbers of about 70%?
While I don’t (yet) have any basis to questions the numbers, I would think that at 70% they’d be crowing more about how successful they’ve been…

Anecdote:
Last month, we had a crew doing an epic landscaping project. (Guys who work outdoors, get exercise, and presumably have high vitamin D levels.)
Two of them mentioned that their wives had had the Pestilence earlier in the year, buy that they themselves had not had any symptoms.
And one of those (the boss) had eventually gotten tested, and it came up positive. He was advised to self-quarantine, which would have meant shutting the business down for a couple of weeks. Inquiring further, he was informed that the test can come up positive for up to three months after recovery from an infection… which makes it rather less than useful for this sort of thing. He didn’t self-quarantine.
I’m not sure which test he had, nor if there’s more than one in common use. Is it actually plausible that a test for an infection could come up positive three months after recovery from the infection?
Oh, and a medical question that recently popped into my head. I keep hearing tales of Pestilence patients who show crazy-low SpO2 readings while still being able to sit up and talk. Could the presence of lots of tiny blood clots in the capillaries cause a fingertip oximeter to give spuriously low readings?
21stCenturyCassandra · August 24, 2021 at 2:33 pm
Yes, it can. I see it all the time in older people with poor peripheral circulation. We frequently have to get forehead sensors from respiratory therapy to get an accurate reading.
Divemedic · August 24, 2021 at 3:46 pm
Yep. BUT if the reading is inaccurate you have poor a pleth waveform.
The one thing I know that gives inaccurate readings without you knowing it would be tying hemoglobin to a molecule other than oxygen. Carbon monoxide, for example.

“That Time” is drawing closer and closer……any hope that it can be avoided is gone.
