China’s new aircraft carrier will be as large as the Ford class, will have electromagnetic catapults, and will thus be able to operate large, first class aircraft and AEW aircraft.
This ship is for power projection, and China will have four aircraft carriers by the end of next year. The US Navy only has 5 carriers in the Pacific fleet.
The USA is busy focusing on using the military against its own citizens and in diversity. The Russians and Chinese are about to make the US irrelevant.

I am not an expert, but if I have my info right, the Chinks can indeed launch a fighter aircraft off their carrier, but only if the tanks are almost dry & with NO bombs or bullets. They still have a ways to go to fight a carrier group with anything like the effectiveness the west does.

That applies to the type 01 and 02 carriers, which use a ski jump. The latest pair of carriers are type 03, using an EMALS catapult. They can launch heavy aircraft, including turboprop AWACS type aircraft.
They are building a serious Navy at a time when our navy is worried about transgender diversity
