The European Union (EU) has declared cryptocurrency payments using unidentified self-custody crypto wallets illegal as part of newly enacted anti-money laundering (AML) laws.
Coincidentally, this permits the government to have full control over who may buy and sell anything, anywhere, at anytime.
When the legislature controls who may buy and sell, the first thing to be bought and sold are the legislators themselves.

A friend used to say “There will always be cash, so the politicians can get their payoffs.”
Alas, cash seems to have been superceded by book deals, real estate deals, and insider trading. And it’s pre-laundered as part of the payoff. Way better than the traditional briefcase full of cash.

I read somewhere that soon you will have to have some type of mark before you can buy or sell anything anywhere. That would be a beast of a problem.

They’ll get around to UBI and EBT cards for all later.
The money changers will never allow an alternate form of money for very long if they can’t infiltrate and control it.
There won’t be any revolt as the drooling hive is happy to live in a Control Grid Matrix.
As Eisenhower said if you want security then go to prison, sadly these terms are acceptable to a majority in the New Civility.

I thought those kind of laws meant the legislators were already bought?
I’m much more worried about cash than about Crypto, but the sooner the process is stopped, the better.
And despite what they say, this won’t affect large scale money laundering. The big guys already use proxies and “Names”. For misdirection.

Does everyone finally understand WHY all of these stores want you at self checkouts, using your bank cards? If you never use cash, you have no need of any inter-person interacting. Better for the government as chitchat leads to thinking. Bank cards can be controlled with an off/on switch that guarantees you will not be thinking. Your phone is a leash, so you can be tracked anywhere. The cruise ships are issuing ‘wrist bands or wearable medallions” to further the progress. The wrist band tells your steward where you are on the ship so no need to tell you when they will be cleaning your room. The medallions are used to buy stuff and charge to your shipboard account. Think souvenirs, drinks, shows, etc. The cruise ships now have your exact footprint anywhere on the ship-which can and will be turned over to “authorities” if so desired. Your phone also does the same thing. We are being turned into expensive pets that can be euthanized at the owner’s request.
