An hour after losing my job and promising the wife that I won’t spend any money until I start getting paychecks again, I get an email from Sportsman’s Warehouse that looks like this:

Yep. Got that email too. Fortunately none of them on offer were what I’m looking for at the moment. (Celebrating moving out of California. I’m thinking of a partially color case colored from Standard Mfg. And yeah, paycheckus interruptus sucks.)

That PSA sale on Vortex 1-8 LPVO + mount over the weekend though…. Half off, close enough. Dammit.

I had forgot about them and Sportsman’s Guide!
All kinds of camo BDU and useful items in the comrades hovel from there.
Tre Bark is my favorite ever and it is getting long in the tooth but I found some online at a nice price.
Don’t feel bad, a sibling had an ex-wife jack his 10k$ plus tax return and pay off student loan debt, all in the space of a few hours.

yeah, got that as well. kind of a bitch seeing the Rock Island
22 mag on sale. really was thinking about one. but just bought
the Springfield SA-35 and a bunch of magazines for it a while ago.
BTW, I like it a lot too. had 2 different Hi Powers in the past
and both of them use to “bite” me, thus one does not !
and so far has handled every sort of ammo I put in it too.
even lead reloads ! I cast a lot due to a friend who ran a scrap yard for years and gave a lot of lead scrap.
one thing I will say about Rock Island, their 1911’s work !

That SA prodigy is definitely on my list…and prices have been coming down recently. But as I’ve already met my cap on gun purchases for the year, and we’re only 5.5 months in….it will be a bit of a wait.

Well, I know someone who would offer this logic: You may not spend money until paycheck. If paycheck is within the next 30 days, buy on credit card. You haven’t spent anything. Pay when credit time runs out (payment due date) and THAT is when you are spending money.

Heh.
