Check out this video from Dade county, Florida. I was going to make this post about using force, but the left as usual made it a racial discussion.
The comments saw someone saying this would be a legal use of force against this road rager. The exchange went like this:
You are easily wrong, his life unfortunately was still not in danger yet..the last thing you wanna do is take someone’s life away when you are still in your car an can drive away.

The law in Florida doesn’t require you to drive away. What he is doing here is a forcible felony and a person may use lethal force in self defense.

This is not a crystal clear case and certainly if the guy behind the camera were Black, the prosecution (and the judge) would have been less likely to give him the SYG benefit of the doubt. Studies have shown SYG works more often to the benefit of whites.

But even hereabouts in Califrutopia, even if he had a valid CCW, the Accord driver is “driving aggressively” and brandishing a weapon without any reasonable cause, which is an assault, and if he were shot by the guy following, it would likely be ruled self-defense.
Minimum, he’d be looking at a year in jail if he were simply arrested afterwards. Oh, and a lifetime bar on legal weapon ownership, for committing a violent firearms offense.
Honda Accord @$$hole, not knowing who he’s bracing like that, is going to do that once to an off-duty cop, and get himself a FAFO medal with a PSG,WSP cluster on his coffin, and about 10 holes in his stupid @$$ as the grand prize.
The video will be epic.

In Florida, Blacks benefited almost 3 times more than Whites when it comes to SYG.

I’ll defer on the legality, as I don’t know Florida state law. But even if it is legal by the book, if there is a racial twist to such a SYG shooting, and the defensive shooter is of a non-protected class, then they’re fucked anyway due to the ensuing relentless bad PR, cancel culture cultists, and civil suits from here to kingdom come.
We can only hope the wheels come off the system in order to stop the anarcho-tyranny that is now standard procedure. At least then, with all the kings horses and men removed from consideration, it becomes a level playing field again; we will have the same accoutability they do for shooting a fucker: exactly none.

Adrenaline rush, reach for weapon, wait for him to touch your car … only then would I deploy deadly force. In this instance he stayed back and did not close so no need to escalate IMHO.

Yeah. Does not look good. Assuming no previous action by videographer to provoke, it is was still dumb to get out of the car like that. Is there audio with the video? What was the guy saying? I am awful at reading lips.
I would like to see the video with the preceding 5 minutes or so.
Just curious.
