Go to this story and look closely at the picture of the AR pattern rifles found at the DC shooter’s apartment.

Now zoom in and see if you can see what I do.

Look just above the selector of those two rifles, and it sure looks to me like there are holes in them for an autosear pin.

If the island of denial was removed and the shelf lowered, which most AR’s are built with, even tho the 3rd hole was drilled, the flipper won’t fit until milling machine makes more room for the extra parts.

Previous comment was unintelligible, but the handguards/rails are wrapped with heat protectors, not something an average shooter uses or needs, and Im seeing higher than 30 rd mags. Even handguards/rails will get really hot after a few mags of rapid fire or full-auto. So, yeah theres more to this. like Suzy says, sum timg wong.

I’d tend to agree with Smitty… Very possible that they have been ‘reworked’.

Even if the receiver has not been milled out for the sear, just having the hole for it makes it a machine gun, according to the ATF
