So private business gets attacked if even salary workers work more than 40 hours a week yet here is a fedjob that states the worker is basically on-call salary and at least 50 hours a week.
Gee, glad the IRS is applying the same standards that we in the real world have to adhere to.

Federal agents get LEAP, extra pay for being an agent and several agencies take the position that it is in lieu of overtime but that is very questionable legally…
BTW, LEAP is about 25% of base pay, so it’s substantial.
The law requires that every federal employee get paid for every hour they work but it’s widely ignored, especially at higher levels. I’ve known agencies who encourage their employees to lie on time sheets to avoid paying overtime.

i’ve run warrants with run of the mill fed agents…they are scary as hell…zero discipline…the only thing they should enter is their home after work…

I was thinking that too. At some point maybe soon, we’ll have to get past the grim clever commentary we’re making about this right now and accept reality. Tough pill. The Soviets even under Stalin didn’t, hence the Solzhenitsyn quote which even he only realized after it was too late.
We’re going to have to get hard, fast.
