I disagree.

America’s first “civil war” was fought in organized fashion with two opposing armed forces following most of the accepted rules of warfare, because it was “one government against a different government.” Official, and recognized, governmental structures were competing for position.

Were our present situation to devolve into armed conflict it will not be conducted in the same manner; there will be a government involved, certainly, but only one government, for however long as it may exist. Armed conflict under those conditions will be conducted not by any recognized rules of warfare, but by innumerable factions each competing for the largest piece of whatever can be salvaged from what may remain when “government” is subsumed or may be created or captured by whomever wins the most regionally.

The violence and brutality will be ruthless, absolutely epic, and beyond description; the term “biblical” will be viewed by historians as inadequate to describe that period of American, and world, history. Nothing will count but “winning” for whatever “winning” may mean for this morning, or today, or this week, or this month. Everyone with “a list” will be seeking to settle whatever scores, real or imagined, they decide need settling. The Left in America has spent 2/3 of a century succeeding beyond their wildest dreams of transforming a broad, incredibly varied and complex society willing and eager to co-exist for mutual shared social benefit and economic prosperity into smaller, competing aggrieved factions, done because the Left believes their best path to universal power is controlling the created factions by administering punishment or largesse.

When that competition is forced into violent physical confrontation the result will destroy not just America but the spillover will potentially set not just humanity but civilization itself on this planet back by centuries.

I beg you, please, step back and think. It is not too late. Turn back.

I can assure you that you will not be among the survivors of whatever holocaust you inadvertently or deliberately unleash – too many people fully and completely understand that you are at the root of it. As the Jews of Israel hunted for decades the Nazi war criminals, you, and all of your family, relatives, supporters, and associates, will be hunted; there will be no respite; destruction of not just a culture but of a civilization carries consequences.

I will shed no tears for you; unfortunately, too many of us and too much of our civilization will also be destroyed in the process.
