The Biden administration is about to release a regulation that would outlaw non-electric cars by 2032.

I’m not sure our electric grid or automobile manufacturers can meet that deadline.

Just say no.

Who will say no? Manufacturers won’t.
So then what? Eventually, your car will break and need to be replaced. With what?

Cubans can teach you a thing or two about keeping cars running way past their shelf life.

I’m not sure our electric grid or automobile manufacturers can meet that deadline.

I’m sure the grid can’t. The consensus among the sources I’ve read says we’d have to double or triple the capacity of the power grid if all cars went electric. The capacity of the grid is going down, not up, as they take some of the older power plants off line (coal-fired or oil-fired).

I’m not sure that the mining of materials to produce electric cars could ever meet that number, let alone in 9 years.

Ok, I think there are a couple options here.

One, any regulation can be repealed, assuming a republican can win a presidential election. That would be the quickest option.

Manufacturers are already going full retard with the transition to EVs, but the speed at which this happens is limited by technology and supply chain. Both won’t be ready in 10 yrs. Our grid won’t be ready, and the supply of rare earth minerals doesn’t support that timeline. Not unless the left is willing to sacrifice some environmental sacred cows, specifically – mining for this stuff here in the US or Canada. I don’t think Africa has enough child labor to support this goal.

The manufacturers also need to make money. The general public is not ready to make the switch with the current technology available. It’s too unreliable. I think what you would see is people hanging on to vehicles longer to avoid buying new. That hits the bottom line.

I’ll play devil’s advocate and say that if the left stays in power and continues to push this along with all of the other environmental wet dream wants, maybe a feature of the plan is to force people to travel less. Change the American lifestyle that has been built on the automobile. Restrict the public to local commuting; while the elite get to travel.

That’s the real Objective of the push for “EV’s”. It is the Cover for Restricting and Controlling Movement of anyone not a part of the “Big Club” (that you ain’t In). The next step, before the ‘mandate’ that All Vehicles be Electric, will be making the Registration/Licensing of ICE Vehicles older than a certain Year ‘unpossible’. That’s when the Fun begins….

There aren’t enough minerals and metals available and it would take decades to find and mine more. I read somewhere manufacturing the the EV uses four or five times the energy (petroleum) than conventional vehicles to get to the dealership. Solar panels and wind farms are an environmental nightmare.
