I am posting this as a person who is an atheist, but one who believes in most of the virtuous support of family values that are espoused by those who are religious. In the Iowa statehouse, a Satanic church was permitted to place a statue of Satan and an altar celebrating him. We were told that this was done to allow equal access to all religions.
A man by the name of Michael Cassidy knocked down the statue and cut off its head. There are many who are demanding criminal charges. I disagree and fully support Mr. Cassidy.
This protest by Mr Cassidy was no different than protesters who tore down Confederate flags and statues. If those on the left are going to prohibit and protest Christians and their displays (including displays of the Ten Commandments) under the guise of “separation of church and state,” then that would include ALL religions, not just the Christian ones.
Just my 2 cents.

“We were told that this was done to allow equal access to all religions.”
But they consistently state that they are specifically NOT a religion. So how can they have 1st Amendment religious protection?

I approve of this “mostly peaceful protest”.
We are going do everything to the Leftists that they have done to us.

I have been following this story with interest…. It presents a difficult problem, we should all pay attention to.
On the one hand I see this as a clear 1st Amendment issue. As an absolutist, I find I am compelled to support the organization placing the items on display in a religious context. Is it a REAL religion? Are they being genuine or is this an effort to commit an offensive act (under guise of religion)? I honestly don’t know, but as an absolutist adherent to the right to freedom of expression, I have to bite my tongue and let them have their way.
Personally I do not think it’s a real religion, I think it’s an attempt for atheists to thumb their noses at religious people, and they do it simply to offend. Regardless I still feel they have a right to do and say what they wish, so long as it does not harm others.
One could argue they are morally offended by the sight of the pagan (as the candidate said), but they would just be acting like snowflakes who claim silence is violence. Grow a pair, fer crying out loud. You’re offended? So what, who cares? Go piss up a rope, ya pussy!
If we’re going to claim to be taking the high-road and honoring The Constitution, then this group has a right to freedom of expression, whether we like it or not. If we disabuse them and prevent them from expressing themselves, we are no better than the media and masses that attempt to silence the Vaxx-deniers. Freedom of expression is a 2-way street, you have to tolerate expressions you don’t like, if you expect others to tolerate yours. Freedom has costs, sometimes personal. You may find the display offensive, ok, fair enough, but if you value the freedom of YOUR speech, you will fight to protect the freedom of THEIRS. You can’t have your cake and eat it too. You want cake? Then they get a slice as well. You want freedom to speak out against your government, to question the election, to call a fraud a fraud without fear of persecution? Guess what…. Baphomet gets to stand there in the corner. If you suppress their speech, you are opening the door to suppress yours.
Kudo’s to the young man for standing by his convictions! He’d get my vote if I lived in Mississippi! Convictions be damned. He did what was right, 110%! His personal feelings and convictions prevented him from being silent, even though acting out would come at a cost. Fair enough. He understands he is violating their right to present the display, but felt compelled to act. He took action anyways, and immediately answered to the authorities for it. That is the definition of Courage right there (taking responsibility for ones actions, not the act of deferring to authority). Take a stand, but bear the consequences. I know where this man stands. And a Naval Aviator to boot! Wish we had more like him.

1 The First Amendment is a restriction on the government. Not other citizens
2 The same sort of people who put this Satanic altar in place (as a big F you to Christians) would fight to prohibit a display of the 10 commandments
3 This is no longer about principles. It’s about winning. It’s a fight to the death. Only one side can survive.

Destruction of another’s property because you don’t like the message is wrong, and it doesn’t matter if it is the “left” or the “right” doing it.

Anything and everything those monsters gleefully proclaim is ok for them to do to others is fully and automatically ok for others to do to them and their families.
No exceptions.

In case you haven’t been paying attention, the left is KILLING people. This is no longer about right and wrong.

Get this tattooed on your fucking forehead:
A tactic used is a useable tactic.
Refusing to play by the same rules as your enemy guarantees your enemy will beat you every fucking time.

Noway2 and Joe Blow – I understand what you’re saying about treating all sides equal. However we haven’t been that type of society in a long time. And we’re not getting back to that by playing fair and square either. Our beliefs, our culture, our society has been under attack for so long that playing fair is no longer on the table. Fuck fair. Fuck them. Fuck everybody. There’s no fair anymore. We need to stamp those bastards out any way possible. Commies, liberals, the so-called “elite”, the blacks, the invaders, all of them need to see a real purge.
