A pair of Colorado parents are suing a school district for making their 11 year old daughter sleep in the same bed with a boy while on a school trip. Of course, those on the left think that the parents are being discriminatory because identifies as or something.

At the same time, they see no problem with this mom prioritizing play time and swim lessons over homework.

These two stories illustrate that, to the left, schools are more important as indoctrination centers than they are about education.

Hi there, the guy with the dead horse, here?
I wonder about this one… I have 2 kids recently out of HS, one in their Junior year.
In my area, we do not have this kind of issue. I asked my kids regularly, friends with younger children have the same stories, there are a few teachers that the administration is keeping an eye on, but that’s it. One of the primary schools here had an issue develop with a certain librarian making certain books available to students on the D/L. She was fired very quickly. My mortgage broker actually joined the school board to protect her grandchildren, who live in this community.
Hmmm…. Where have I heard that tactic before?
The local university had a melanated individual running a DEI department who took his job a bit too seriously, started making noise with the local TV stations. He works in Michigan, now.

If one takes a step back and looks at what is working and what isn’t, the future is very clear. You are 110% correct that public schooling for most of the country is only going to get worse. If you have young kids, at best get them into a private school, preferably religious (even if you don’t subscribe), as that is still one of the few rights that seem to carry a little weight.

I dunno, crazy thought maybe: how about they don’t make my kid sleep in the same bed as anyone else?? Radical thinking indeed

Why would a 5 year old child have homework? That’s just sick. Not to mention laziness on the part of the teacher.

I believe that the one with the homework was the 4th grader

I repeat my comment from a couple of posts later:

Public service beatings were never an entirely bad idea.

Sometimes, multiple stitches, permanent dentures, and a knee replacement at age 24 are Nature’s way of telling you teaching and supervising children is not the profession in which you ever belonged.
