I’ve posted this song before. Now that Gordon Lightfoot is gone, I think it’s appropriate again.

A classic song. Alot of my favorite musicians of my youth have been passing.

That’s sad to hear of his passing. I once saw him at Symphony Hall in Atlanta. Bought the tickets on a lark. Knew some of his music but never appreciated all of it. What a great show at a small, acoustically-outstanding venue. He was a great songwriter. I always loved this song in particular. Was wondering why several folks have his songs posted today.

The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald is a history lesson right up there with Mel Brooks-To Be Or Not To Be (the Hitler Rap).
It always cracks me up when people walking on the sidewalk in the grotto start dancing and jiving to a 40 year old rap by Mel Brooks!
