It seems that a cop in Minnesota couldn’t tell the difference between her Taser and a pistol. Says CNBC contributor and attorney David Henderson: “I think that if officers can’t tell the difference between firearms and tasers, we need to re-evaluate whether or not they need to be carrying tasers.”

I disagree. If police officers can’t tell the difference between firearms and tasers, I don’t think that they should carry firearms. They are supposed to know the difference. Perhaps we could try Sheriff Taylor’s solution:

There are LOTS of cops who shouldn’t have guns… and many who cannot buy guns as civilians since they are prohibited persons, but they are allowed them on the job…

Wasn’t it a member of the Oakland Transit Gestapo who did the same thing a few years back?
I wonder how many more instances of “taser confusion” happen that we never hear about.

I never knew Barney had fired his weapon so much.

most departments require a cross draw for the taser or at least opposite gun side…you should know the diff…one is lighter, a lot lighter and most have yellow on them…the sights are different…it doesn’t even feel like a gun, feels like a toy…
