The military will be rebuilt with illegal immigrants who will have no problem obeying orders to shoot the natives in case of rebellion. They will have repeated opportunities to do so.
The army will remain loyal to the regime as long as they continue to get paid. A similar method will be used for local and national police forces.
Things will be less clear when the Mexican cartels make a better offer. At that point, the existing regime will lose control and the country will effectively fragment into regional governments.
They will still call it “The United States”. But it won’t be.

This is not a new program. We had permanent residents (legal immigrants) in the Navy in the 70’s, not many but I knew some. Legal immigrants are willing to go through all the requirements for residency and are usually committed to becoming citizens. When they try to make the military a pathway for illegal immigrants to become legal, then we have a problem. Hopefully by then it won’t be too late.

Michael Yon made the point all too clearly in one of his recent podcasts.
95% of the illegals are single, fighting-aged men. “They will be given weapons, some kind of uniform, and told that they can take your stuff”.
The government will call it “a path to citizenship” for the new army and police recruits. The cartels will simply offer twenty times the pay that the army does. And they will have most of the same weapons available.
These are not going to be fun times.

I think this is just the AP trying to spin both the recruiting crisis and the barbarian migrations as a problem with a perfect solution. I have said it many times, but I will offer my views again. The regular US military is highly technical and bureaucratic. There are very few roles that can be filled by foreigners if they lack the required education and/or intelligence to learn the complex systems they will be tasked with mastering. If they are highly skilled and educated, but have poor english skills or no english at all, they will be difficult to integrate without extensive language training. You cannot work on learning a new weapon system if you are trying to learn english at the same time. The language barrier is also an issue for the low quality cannon fodder unless you intend to create a foreign legion with numbers of them and have them commanded by someone who speaks their native tongue.
Someone seems to be forgetting that these new arrivals also have their own cultural traditions of every sort and the majority of them, except for perhaps sexual abuse of minors, are probably inconsistent with the rainbow values of clownworld. That ought to build some interesting unit cohesion and disciplinary problems.
It is also no small fact to take into consideration that there a presently millions of illegals streaming into this country unchecked and they are given preferential treatment over native citizens for every sort of public and private assistance. They are also given near immunity from most crimes and are treated with kid gloves when serious crimes cannot be ignored. Given all of that, I cannot see why “citizenship” would be high on the priority lists of anyone scrambling to get into this country. This is especially true if you have to contract yourself into a period of servitude to the military and likely be shipped back overseas to be shot at for your trouble. These people are arriving here to loot this country, not serve it.

It does not take much in the way of skills to guard a prison camp for “domestic terrorists” detained under the new security orders.
Nor does it take sophisticated weapon systems to raid the subdivisions where the “domestic terrorists” are suspected to be quartered. Large numbers of troops with ordinary small arms will work quite well. The skill of the resistance fighters matters very little when they are outnumbered 40 to 1 and have no sanctuary.
As you point out, the language barrier will be solved by appointing commanders who speak the native tongue of the foreigners. In many cases the commanders will be foreigners, rapidly promoted because of their English skills and demonstrated obedience to orders.
Immigrant squads will, of necessity, be segregated by ethnic, racial, or national origin characteristics. That is the only way commanders will be able to maintain discipline and control of their troops.
Cultural conflicts with the “rainbow values of clown world” will simply be ignored or covered up as much as possible. As long as the troops will follow orders, the commands are not going to care what the new guys think about Blacks, Gays, Lesbians, Transgenders, Jews, Muslims, Women or any other currently protected groups. The commanders won’t push visible symbols of “clown world” on the new guys either. They need those guys and cannot risk giving them orders which the new guys will refuse to obey.
Traditional units will get all kinds of PC harassment of course. They need to get rid of all those White Southern boys that used to be the backbone of the military as quickly as they can.
The real owners of this country do not care about any of the PC doctrines or believe a word of them. Those are merely tools to transform a society into a system over which they can rule the population without any personal restraints. The devolution of military forces is a completely intentional project to avoid potential sources of opposition.
The new military will not be organized to fight wars. It will be organized to ruthlessly suppress domestic insurrections when propaganda fails to control the population and the local police are overwhelmed. A considerably different skill set is required for that mission.
The value of “citizenship” will be entirely a propaganda feature to distract the native population. The true value for illegal immigrants to join the army will be the sanctioned opportunities for looting. As it has been in centuries past.
The army will consistently make their recruiting goals once they are directed to accept illegal immigrants. They will then discover that they have become the training organization for the cartels. It will become a deadly conflict.
I expect that Northern Mexico and parts of the Southwestern United States will become a free-fire zone while the new social order is being settled. It is not clear to me which parties will be the “winners”.
The current rulers will be in for some very unpleasant surprises as their projects continue. But they and their minions expect to remain in power for the rest of their lives. And they probably will.
They just may not live as long as they expected. Civil wars are full of surprises.

A sort of “American Legion” modeled on the French Foreign Legion – has been a dream of statists for many years. A force composed of foreigners who will be led by ideologically reliable regime-selected officers, and whose members will have no loyalty to the United States as founded, or native Americans. Which would be precisely the point. As well, such a force would supply nearly inexhaustible cannon fodder for the “cabinet wars” (elective wars) of that same regime.

If the indications of large numbers of PLA/Joe Chink types coming across the Border are accurate, Those would be the ones the Regime could use to some organized effect. If you have Soldiers with Common Training and Common Language, creating Units made up of them is relatively easy – all you need are Officers who speak Chinese and English, not hard to find. Equipment isn’t a Problem, a couple of Container Ships full of whatever Guns-n-Ammo the PLA uses would handle it, at least Initially. It would all be predicated on How Many, and how Willing, the Traitors in the FUSSA Army are… Without Logistical Support, Bases, Air Transport, Food, Fuel, Etc., a Foreign Occupation Army won’t get Far.

Janissaries worked well for the Ottomans. The problem here is stiffer: we are a heavily armed citizenry that WILL use our armament in our own interest. There’s no countermeasure to that.

I agree with Mike. I’d predict an even lower success rate than when we had Project 100,000. Look that one up if unfamiliar.
When the program began I was an instructor in an electronics course at Chanute AFB, Two tours there, one to build the initial Aircraft Avionics course — we didn’t take long to recognize that our washout rate was climbing as more and more were becoming motor pool drivers and cooks with some to Civil Engineering. We finally figured out how to recognize in the record the indicator of P 100,000; it finally made sense. It wasn’t us and all that remedial training time we were putting in was what we thought it was, a total waste of time (2 hrs daily extra, none on test days).
THOSE people had “normal” language skills but had done poorly in their schooling and were therefore terribly unprepared for the requirements. Instructors in other areas reported similar results.
Problem was, and I saw it as a problem, they were still in the military. Washed out of technical training, yes, but NOT washed out of the military.
I don’t think the average illegal would have a prayer in hell of making it. Question for me is do we want that bunch cooking, driving, and doing the many things CE does? My answer is a definite NO. I don’t want them wearing MY uniform as people who committed a criminal act as their first step into this country. NO step across the threshold of Basic Training.

Actually all male legal residents in the US (Green Card holders) are liable for the draft. Citizenship status is irrelevant. After the draft was ended they had to register for selective service. Still do.
The British CEO of Sony in the early 2000’s was drafted 6 weeks after he arrived in the US in 1965 and ended up as a MP in Saigon. I had several friends when growing up whose fathers all non-citizen legal residents at the time who were drafted in the 1950’s and 1960’s. All ended up in the USN or USAF.
So nothing new. The New York Draft Riots of 1863 were pretty much about this. Among other things.
