I don’t know how far it will go to termination, but I don’t think any amount of legal wrangling is going to change whatever the judge already has determined to be the outcome. Correctly or incorrectly, legally or illegally, the end is already determined.

Look, this is a basic civic test for every single American.. Especially those of us who took the oath to uphold our Constitution and the rule of law. If they try to conduct a show trial and jail Donny Tiny Hands on the basis of these absurd, trumped up charges, every single one of us will be presented with an ultimatum.. Did we mean it when we took that oath, or not? Are we boot licking slaves of fascist plutocrats, or are we actually free men willing to risk our lives and uphold our sacred honor in defense of that freedom and the rule of law?
There are millions of people in law enforcement and the military who are facing a potential rendezvous with conscience.. Every veteran, every citizen is going to have to decide where they stand. It’s easy to avow that freedom isn’t free when it isn’t your neck on the line.. If they jail Trump, everyone will have to put up, or shut up.
We may be about to discover who the craven fascist booklickers and psychopathic goose steppers are among us.. God help us, God help them. Pray sanity and wisdom prevail.

Meh. We already have a solid record of who the craven fascist bootlickers are. The events of the past few years have been quite revelatory in that regard, to include all of how people reacted to COVID and the officially mandated responses to it, J6, vote fraud, bank bailouts and so on and so forth. The ruling class clearly has no need for, or concern of either laws or oaths they all swore out to uphold them.
The present case may provide yet further refinement of that knowledge, but the lines were already long since drawn and the players revealed. How many more examples does one require to reinforce what is already (or should be) known without so much as a hint of doubt?
People like to bitch and vent their outrage, but nobody wants to put their ass on the line to make it stop. If they did, there have been many hundreds – probably thousands – of justifying actions and events to do so already, and all failed to raise any such response, or even the slightest hint of one.
I propose that those whose oaths you are citing as a justification for taking personally risky and professionally unpleasant actions will no more act on them now, than have all the politicians and judges who have completely and repeatedly broken their oaths taken upon entering office by openly and unabashedly acting in direct contravention in of same on a routine and ongoing basis.
Oaths mean as much as the Constitution under which they are administered. Which is to say they are mere words on a page. Their only potential value lies in the character of those called to take them actually acting upon the ideals espoused therewith. So far, we have seen absolutely zero enforcement against those parties who have been breaking their oaths regularly, by those who would purport to take their oaths seriously.
This is simple: define a “domestic enemy”. Then, once one has identified all who meet that definition, they are, by virtue of their oath, required to depose and dispatch said enemies, correct?
And yet, here we are. All the bad actors retain their positions and the power that stems from them. Not a single arrest, trial, conviction or execution has taken place despite countless highly visible, outrageous violations of the constitution and of individual office holder’s sworn oaths.
I thereby submit that oaths are as worthless as any other written legal instrument, whether sworn to or not, in fake and ghey clown world. Change my mind.

Yeah. I personally do not have much enthusiasm for, or faith in Trump. His whole public performance is almost certainly another psyops. You’re also right that the avalanche of gross provocations we’ve seen have been absurd. One of them was Trump’s own endorsement of the vaccine and lockdowns, for which he probably actually deserves to go to prison.
I still think that jailing him for nonsense would absolutely delegitimize the courts in a way that none of the prior travesties have. I’ll speak for myself: I still have a shred of faith and hope that the rule of law under the current system will prevail.. It may be absurd, but I’m currently clinging to it.
If they actually attempt to try Trump for something this galactically stupid, much less imprison him, though, I’ll consider the constitutional order dead. That may be their objective, anyway..To kill it. It probably is.
I want to be clear, here. I’m not advocating violence, not least because violence as pretext for open fascism is almost certainly exactly what they are trying to incite..
I am saying that if they dispense with all pretense of respect for the rule of law, which they almost already have, that my complaisance will end. I don’t think I’m alone in this sentiment.
I’ll also reassert that we’re still operating under a simulacrum of normality, and that if that simulacrum evaporates people will have decisions to make. If the economy collapses, if they jail Trump, if they drive us into war with Russia and China, if they try to introduce digital ID currency and social credit, if they continue to play games with elections and First Amendment.. Well..
We can participate and continue to comply, or not. Or we can refuse to comply. I have already emphatically refused their nasty shots. I’ll never do anything that violates my conscience or voluntarily accept anything that violates my rights.
Like I say, we all may have hard choices to make. Many people who have gone along to get along, who have kept their mouths shut may have a different attitude in face of global war and economic collapse.. In fact, I strongly suspect they may.
