Here is what the ACLU has to say today:
They are instead trying a new spin to an old theme. Instead of communism being the workers’ paradise, it will be a POC paradise. Instead of dividing people into proletariat and bourgeoisie, we are dividing them into white and POC. This system is merely a way to divide us so that the nation can be torn down, with themselves in charge. They are nothing but a propaganda spewing fake news arm at this point.
Instead of calling them the American Civil Liberties Union, let’s call them what they have become: The American Communist Liberation Union. Don’t forget that the ACLU no longer supports free speech. They support only speech that agrees with the left’s positions.
Our defense of speech may have a greater or lesser harmful impact on the equality and justice work to which we are also committed,
The ACLU has stated: Moving forward, when deciding whether to take a free speech case, the organization will consider “factors such as the (present and historical) context of the proposed speech; the potential effect on marginalized communities; the extent to which the speech may assist in advancing the goals of white supremacists or others whose views are contrary to our values; and the structural and power inequalities in the community in which the speech will occur.
The ACLU is the antithesis of a civil rights organization. They have become an organization that supports suppressing and destroying anything counter to their political beliefs.

What always annoys me about crap like this is how historically stupid they are. Every square inch of land on the planet that has been around long enough has been claimed by some group, yet they always act like America is the only place that “conquered land” has ever happened. It’s the story of world history over and over.
Have you ever heard of them complaining about Alexander the Great or Atilla the Hun? I never have.

The ACLU isn’t acting out of character with that since they were founded by communist sympathizers. And they have consistently acted in support of communism in their publications & court cases.

I am a Native American. My people have been here since the early 1600’s. With one outlier, a kraut who came over after German unification.
The British government stole my family lands, kicked out my father’s side from Acadia, the bastards. Though looking at Trudeauistan, I am glad that we no longer abide there. (Well, that, and the frigid cold weather.)
The ACLU can kiss my grits.

I used to know a Cherokee-American who had an Interesting take on that whole ‘issue’. He was Full-Blood Tribe, for a while an Officer in their ‘corporation’, got Out because of the Grift and Corruption while a lot of folks on the Reservation lived like Rats.
Once he got to know me, and that I am “a Member of the Master Race, My People put the Footprints on the Moon” he often would express Amazement about how this whole Continent was Invaded and Taken over from Millions of ‘Native Inhabitants’. My response was always, “Dude, you folks inhabited this Huge Place with all sorts of Resources, but were Too Lazy to build up anything- You got Rolled, and We could do it by having come from a Small Area without a lot of Resources- So We got Smart and We got Mean. You were In the Way”. He had to admit to the logic of that.
