More on the critter who randomly fired into a crowd celebrating Halloween in Orlando: He had a felony record for grand theft auto from last December. There is a record of him attending elementary and middle school, but no record of high school, meaning that he was a dropout. We don’t have much else to go on, because juvenile records are sealed in Florida.

This is an example of the absolute waste of DNA that has become a large segment of our nation. I am reminded of the quote from Heinlein’s Starship Troopers, comparing raising children to housebreaking dogs:

“Mr. Dubois, you have to! You scold him so that he knows he’s in trouble, you rub his nose in it so that he will know what trouble you mean, you paddle him so that he darn well won’t do it again — and you have to do it right away! It doesn’t do a bit of good to punish him later; you’ll just confuse him. Even so, he won’t learn from one lesson, so you watch and catch him again and paddle him still harder. Pretty soon he learns. But it’s a waste of breath just to scold him.” Then I added, “I guess you’ve never raised pups.”

These children were often caught; police arrested batches each day. Were they scolded? Yes, often scathingly. Were their noses rubbed in it? Rarely. News organs and officials usually kept their names secret – in many places the law so required for criminals under eighteen. Were they spanked? Indeed not! Many had never been spanked even as small children; there was a widespread belief that spanking, or any punishment involving pain, did a child permanent psychic damage.

These juvenile criminals hit a low level. Born with only the instinct for survival, the highest morality they achieved was a shaky loyalty to a peer group, a street gang. But the do-gooders attempted to ‘appeal to their better natures,’ to ‘reach them,’ to ‘spark their moral sense.’ Tosh! They had no ‘better natures’; experience taught them that what they were doing was the way to survive. The puppy never got his spanking; therefore what he did with pleasure and success must be ‘moral.’

Written in 1959. Such progress we’ve made since then /sarc/

He is fully aware of there are no consequences to folks like him and be a juve also just makes it easier. And that’s why I support quick trials, harse punishment and even quicker public executions, no need to drag it out, if they are truly guilty get it over with. In my travels for uncle sam I got to attend multiple public executions around the world, the Saudi’s love to get american’s to attend. Its a test of manhood I think for them. But they have parent bring kids who are on the wrong track and make them watch to make a point and it does work very well. It’s the same in Indonesia for public caneing’s. Another punishment that would do wonders here. Just ask our diplomats son who got some for crimes he did there thinking no one could touch him and hasn’t re-offended since, surprise surprise. A couple years later his dad was caught on tape talking about it and how it changed his son for the better.

Above is just the results and yes, terminal. HOWEVER, the parents and society need to also be held accountable, for once a human goes bad, best wishes. So the consequences as an ADULT should be HARSH, even lethal. And ANY adult family who tries to justify or defend should be dealt with harshly also, as an accomplice.

For those who are going to say “but the sins of the child shouldn’t be held against the parents”, RE-READ above. IF my child goes bad, and I get up and say “but he’s a good boy”, then I deserve the same punishment, or at least deserve to be shunned from society (as I can’t tell, as an adult, what is good or bad for society)

Fully understand your point here, however, as someone who had the full force and authority of the New Jersey Division of Youth and Family Services land firmly on his head for… washing his daughter’s mouth out with soap (a lesson I had been taught as a child. ONCE), it becomes rather difficult to “discipline” one’s child.

That little incident cost a small FORTUNE in mandated “Family Counseling” sessions, lemme tellya….

    I don’t envy parent today.

I do NOT want to sound glib. I can’t even fathom having a state rep tell me how to raise my child. AND your child learned that Daddy can be punished by the state…… NOT a good lesson. Again, not meaning to sound glib….. I’ve moved twice and have no issue moving again……

They all must go back or we need to separate from them and keep them out…Those are our only two options at this point otherwise we will cease to exist…

Starship Troopers… one of the greatest books I’ve ever read. Highly recommended.

Disenfranchisement of large swaths of civilians is the only way to move forward. The new America will need a new way to govern.

It’s always in the eyes, isn’t it? Which is to say, in pictures like the above there’s nothing in the eyes recognizable as humanity, or sentience; they’re the eyes of a cheetah, or a grizzly, or some other feral predator species. Even an orangutan’s eyes have more of actual soul and empathy visible in them than this creature’s.

No insult intended to cheetahs or grizzlies, mind.

Feral Norwegians have earned the right to be put away with prejudice.

“…the highest morality they achieved was a shaky loyalty to a peer group, a street gang.” You all know the reason for loyalty to the street gang and they know the consequences of disloyalty. If our own legal system had similar rules, perhaps things would be different. Gangs have no sympathy, neither should the courts.

I was very much wanting to do the “rub their noses in their mistakes” as a parent, my wife was very much “we need to talk to them, get them to understand, reason it out, etc.” bullshit. Today, decades later, she finally admits we should have beat them more. They turned out ok, but still had our issues when they were teens. I would say the dog training method would be good from about the age of 1 to 12, after which you should be able to rule by fear alone. But my days of child rearing are long gone.

There is an enormous pipeline of future mass shooters filling our public schools, and because dey be “juveniles” they get a fresh slate when they turn 18. As bad as things are now, they are going to get much worse in the years to come as yoofs raised on stories of George Floyd hit the streets.

This choco-nugget sent his mom to court for him.

Boy, 17, who ‘killed two’ on Halloween refuses to show up to court

‘The teenage boy accused of shooting two people dead on Halloween has refused to show up to court – but his mom took his place instead.
Jaylen Dwayne Edgar, 17, who allegedly killed two men and injured eight other people in downtown Orlando, failed to show up to court Saturday morning.
Instead, his mother made an emotional appearance on his behalf according to Fox 35 Orlando. She spoke only to confirm his identity. It’s not known why he did not show…. The suspect is expected to be charged as an adult due to the severity of the crimes he is accused of. The judge said he will remain in juvenile custody.’
