Eric Fiedler declared war on Seminole County license plate readers, dismantling 22 of them before being caught. He was arrested June 1 after deputies noticed missing Flock Safety Falcon License Plate Readers (LPRs), which the sheriff’s office deployed to identify passing cars for surveillance purposes.

Note that no one in this story is asking why police are carrying out general surveillance of citizens who are not suspected of committing crimes.

When you realize you’re being tracked every day going to the grocery or church or school, and you didn’t have any say in it, it’s a little concerning to me,

Big brother, indeed.

I thought the feds or “homeland” paid for a lot of this crap to be installed all over the country.
at least that was what I was told where all the traffic cams came from, homeland.
also why they had to build “fusion centers” all over the place to handle all of the data they collect everyday on us. big brother is alive and well in this country today.
kind of funny how it has not help them solve any crime to speak of now isn’t it ?
btw, I learned not to trust anything the clowns in gov’t say a long time ago.

Dismantling?

Why not try vaseline and glass-etching compound?
You can also just snip the power cable from the solar panel to the battery, and the problem self-resolves as well.

If he puts up a GoFundMe, I’m betting he’s got a $1M legal defense fund by end of the week.

Not for nothing, but these days, I wouldn’t go anywhere near GoFundMe. They’ll shut you down for defying the regime and then keep all of your money.

According to the linked story, he had given an interview criticizing the surveillaince cameras. Seems he forgot the “Shut up” section of the 3 S mantra. When their cameras, funded with taxpayer dollars, started disappearing, one of the Barney Fife’s may have said, “Let’s check out the guy who just interviewed criticizing this ‘Public Safety’ program.”

I hope he sets up a Go Fund Me page. I will certainly contribute and I would like to buy that man a beer.

and they go in a data base in fusion centers in all the large cities…data bases you have no say in and probably kept forever…

A good book once said…come out of her my people.
Those old stylish hats that grampaw wore are handy for blocking face.
At least one good feature of the COV-LARP face panty as well.
I love my Skeletor mask gold on black that I found and I’ve seen people at the store get to boot licking even after telling them it’s alright, it’s just a face cover.
Some joggers actually complimented it.
Like that Claude van Damme meme with the aggressive mariachi band as he tries to enjoy a beer and a few minutes alone, you don’t really want to know just how bad it is.

Apparently this guy still believes in 90% of what the Bad People promote through their PR firm, the mainstream media. That’s why he failed. He didn’t act like he was serious, because he wasn’t serious. Everyone getting into a boxcar in Germany was similarly not serious.

More & more of these tag readers are springing up around my county in SC. All are in open, well traveled areas and one is less than a mile from my home. The local police chief and the county sheriff have assured us that “it’ll make us safer”. There are also large white boxes with multiple cameras located at two intersections which seemed to just magically appear one day. One at an uncontrolled 4-way stop and the other a signal controlled 4-way.

Anyone else?

I have bad news: its worse than you think. I formed a security group to manage Hope Fest in town a few years ago. Afterward the organizer sent out an email thanking everyone for their work and offering stats on the number of attendees and their points of origin. More accurately, it was the number of cell phones – the city deployed an IMEI tracker at the event and correlated it against some database to see where those cell phones normally are on the air.

I was appalled and resigned in a huff, mostly because the organizer thought “it was just great!”

I’d LOVE to get involved in this industry so I can learn how it all works. And thus where & how to monkey wrench it. Direct action sounds like a very good way to get caught – hacking the SCADA system (or equivalent) that runs it, much more efficient.

      Dan D. · June 9, 2024 at 7:05 pm

Good for you. Go get involved, learn how to get onto the cell network with a spoofed IMEI. Hint: no SCADA “hacking” is involved. Please post your results here.

The Streetcorner Cameras are the ‘low-hanging fruit’ of the Problem. Sure, Taking them Out when possible/safe is useful, but they just get Replaced. Who Replaces them? What Company makes them? Where do their Workers live?

Where do they get Power from? How do they Communicate with the Network? (Many of the Cameras that I see have a Wi-Fi Antenna) Where are the Cable Connections (if they are Wired)

Further along the line of the Problem, eventually one come to the “Data Centers”. That is something that almost NO ONE who writes ‘critically’ about the ‘surveillance network’ seems to Notice. Same things, Power, Communications, Workers. Oh, and Water. Lots of Water for the HVAC Systems. They have Backup Generators, but no Backup for the Water Supply.

Finally, what Nobody has addressed is the “Endgame” to Destroy the ‘surveillance state’ and restore Freedom… Frank Herbert, a Science-Fiction writer, premised his Stories on a Civilization that had resulted when People got Fed Up with the Surveillance/AI/Corporate Bureaucracy, and Methodically Destroyed the ‘Data Centers’ and all Computers used by the Fascist Police State. It became a Crime, Death-Penalty, to Build or Use a Machine that could “Think”. Civilization continued, with Pencil, Paper and Slide Rule, competent White Men creating a “World made by Hand” up to Interstellar Spacecraft, that ran on Full Manual Control.
