A company is now marketing a so called “smart gun” that won’t fire unless the hand holding it is wearing a ring with an RFID chip in it.
- What about off handed shooting?
- What do you do if someone breaks in at 2 am? Put on the ring? Or wear it all night?

When the shootout starts you can say hold on a minute while I ready my smart gun.
Better have the magazine inserted and a round in the chamber.
Remember the awful locks on S&W guns that went over like a lead balloon.

Just to be mean, let’s make it mandatory for all police and federal agents. Civilian market is completely optional.

Just like new vaccines and medications, I’ll consider it once EVERY federal agent, including military, who Carrie’s a gun is REQUIRED to use it.
Then, maybe, I’ll consider it (for all of 2 seconds)

Yeah, if the cops aren’t buying, I’m not interested.
A system that can be blocked with an RFID jammer? You gotta be kidding me.
