Destroying the reputation of anyone who questions your opinion is not science. This is the 21st century version of the inquisition.

This is something that I’ve seen before in ego-driven government scientists. My own experience was in NOAA and EPA-related work.

When the NORTH CAPE oil spill happened in RI, it was going to be the first time that the US spill prevention and mitigation fund was going to be used. The fund is paid out of every single bulk oil transfer made by ship in the US. It’s to pay for cleanup and to make whole any people affected financially by the spill.
At the time, 3 years after the spill I was VP of the Boston Harbor lobstermen’s association and working on an MS at URI. My department head got appointed as trustee of the fund for the spill, a position that didn’t exist. The kill zone of the spill wiped out a large lobster fishery in RI, about 200 boats’ livelihoods, around 1200 jobs and 6000 indirectly. My department head was a rabid environmentalist, and conspired with the legal and academic shitheads involved to pare back the lobstermen to a ‘sustainable’ number by denying them access to the fund. This wiped out 90% of the jobs in the inshore lobster fishery. Somewhere around 400 bankruptcies within a year of the decision. There was no science involved in their ‘science’ just policy that they made themselves. I ended up in a screaming match wearing my student and industry rep hat, and threatened to get our state senator involved. Sheldon Whitehouse, a mad leftist who is still working today. Turns out Sen. Whitehouse was involved the whole time. He needed EPA and the support of the academics. I was invited to leave with credit for my last semester’s classes and told that I could return to campus only once, to defend my thesis, which I did, 6 months later or so. I wasn’t allowed to go to graduation, which didn’t mattter, as I was out fishing that day.

Wow, I hadn’t thought of that in years. It’s what got me to become a merchant mariner and get out of fishing altogether. That and being broke as shit.

So to see the infighting and character assassination that Fauxchi does is no surprise. All weak, effeminate men, scientists or not, fight that way. Crab Basket mentality seems to come with low T, weak men.

science is whatever the hell they say it is and if you don’t like it, you are a science hater…i’m surprised they haven’t changed the definition of science yet…
