One of the things that I have always been big about is personal freedom. I may or may not want to go on a cruise, but it is my right to decide. I may or may not want to get a vaccine, but it is my right. As long as my behavior isn’t directly causing harm to someone else, I expect others to mind their own business.

I also expect and respect the same of others. If you want to have a sandwich delivered by Doordash, that’s your business. If you want to take a cruise, or if you want to hide in your house from the black helicopters, again that’s your business. If one man wishes to marry another man, I will argue that the government has no business in stopping them. Likewise, if another man refuses to perform the ceremony or to bake the wedding cake, I believe that is also outside of the government’s legitimate authority to force them to do so.

When I see people on the left AND on the right who say, “I don’t care if the government passed this dictate or that restriction because I don’t want to do that, anyhow,” I believe that it diminishes all of us.

I may not agree with your speech, your religion, or your chosen pursuit of happiness, but I will fight for your right to do so, just as I expect you to do for mine. Either we all hang together, or we will surely all hang separately.

I agree completely.

You are either all for it, or not at all…

The problem is that most people on the left are completely against this, and most people on the right are sort of squishy on it. People in the govt on both sides are against it because they’re in favor of more govt power in all cases. There’s actually very few people who think like you stated. Oh, people will claim they support freedom, but the minute you propose an example they don’t like, off come the gloves.

I’m all for less govt control. If that means gays can marry, who cares. If a church of a given denomination refuses to allow gay ceremonies, that ok too. If a baker doesn’t want to make the cake, or only wants to make gay cakes, or anything in-between that’s ok too. Just keep the govt out of it and keep it off my front yard.

Much of this stuff could be resolved by reinstating true freedom of association. That means absolute freedom to disassociate as well. This also means that – gasp – there will be blatant discrimination. Tough shit. If I don’t like you, or something you do or stand for, I should be able to refuse to associate with or serve you. This goes both ways; anyone who dislikes me or my beliefs has the same freedom to tell me to piss off.

At no point does the government get involved in forcing me – or anyone – to provide anything to those who disgust me or piss me off. They can go elsewhere to get what they need ot want. No lawsuits, no taunting, no public shaming. Certainly it will cause inconvenience, but that’s just how it is.

The societal model built on the civil rights act and similar ideals is a self evident fraud and failure. When the baker is forced to make the cake for some sexual deviants under government threat, the baker has no civil rights. We now have the left openly and unashamedly forcing acceptance and endorsement of morally reprehensible behavior – and relishing doing so – on those who have standards that cannot abide these offenses against their own standards and beliefs. That is also why a country that is not ethnically and culturally homogenous is always doomed to fail; there are too many fundamentally opposed groups with incompatible belief systems and self interests.

None of that theoretical, idealistic tripe matters now though, we are far enough down the road to violent conflict that the only resolution will come with piles of corpses. The side with fewer dead bodies at the end of said conflict wins. And rest assured, the winning side will impose whatever the fuck punitive standards they want on the losers, with no regard for fairness or lofty concepts like equality, tolerance, and explicit protection of unpopular minorities and their bad behavior, under threat of force.

That’s human nature writ large. Anyone who doesn’t want to face the constant insult of being made to live under the thumb of a regime that wants you persecuted just for yucks (and we are already there to a large extent) best figure out how to make their own side the winners.

War is human nature. There will never be an end to war. People like to profess peace and harmony among mankind. That is illusion.

People long for a world where there is only love and everyone lives in peace. That is not this world. That is another, mysterious world that exists somewhere other than here.

Ding ding ding. I don’t advocate for a world of non stop love and peace, because I know it is unattainable. But the fires are also being artificially stoked beyond the baseline of human discontent with incendiary bullshit like unchecked immigration (forced co-existence of incompatible cultures just to create social friction), intentional economic destruction, and widespread anarchotyranny. We can now add compulsory medcial experimentation to their list of mortal sins.

All this is done fully with the intent to start some shit beyond what would naturally occur. These malevolent “big thinkers” and their acolytes have a major part in the endless and ever worsening morass we now have to live in. They have destroyed civilization, in point of fact.

These busybody sonsabitches always stirring the pot need to be forced out of the game. As a species, we have enough inherent problems without their maliciously conceived grand plans. And if that can never happen, then all of human existence is just one giant pre-planned miserable shit test. Concede to that? No way.

I will not accept that there is no better existence to be achieved. We had much better once, within living memory, and that was intentionally destroyed by a subset of defective minded humanity that is always doing exactly this by design. They are the aggressors who willfully create ruination. The termites that eat the structure to the point of collapse. The roaches that infest the pantry and leave nothing edible in their wake.

If nothing else I want them to suffer horribly for what they’ve done to direct society into its own destruction through subversive, centrally planned social and economic engineering. Better still to wipe them out entirely, dismantle their diseased policies, and create something workable – but obviously never perfect – without their ceaseless antagonism. God damn every one of them for their arrogance and complicity.
