These are US Marines.
I joined the military shortly after Reagan took office. I heard stories about the Carter years: how officers couldn’t go into enlisted quarters without escorts, for fear of violence. Enlisted openly using cocaine in berthing areas. Our military was effectively useless.
This looks every bit as bad as those Carter years.

Bet Mom and Dad, are O’ so proud. Our little boy is a Marine.

My service stretched from the Nixon years to the end of the Carter era. It was *nothing* like this.

Maybe I’m just getting old (I’m in my 50s) but when I was young, guys would never EVER do homo stuff like that no matter how drunk.

From Leatherecks to Silicone Throaters, from Jarheads to giving head, The Few, The Proud, The Marines.

I’m honestly conflicted on this. On the one hand, current events have certainly placed a filter on how anyone views things like this.
On the other hand, deepthroating a dildo stuck to the wall sounds like the kind of thing that bored and/or (trick question, its definitely ‘and’) soldiers would dare each other to do.

I don’t know, I was in US Army 75-84 , and I never saw shit like that. I heard stories about junior officers being threatened and such, but never saw anything. Had alot of field time in Texas and FRG (heard rumors about the 4.2 mortar section though) but holy moly!

I enlisted in ’75 and mustered out with an honorable in ’81. During that time I did a lot of UCMJ violating stuff, including smoking a lot of pot and doing a lot of acid, but I always did my job, always made my advancements on time, always had exemplary evals and was continuously recommended for retention.

Barry wants military loss humiliation and Red boots marching down the streets.
This is a feature to all Long March fellow travelers.

I was USAF ’68-’72 and although we weren’t actually known for our toughness (think US Chair Force) we damn sure didn’t even joke about things like this. In fact, just hinting at someone’s sexuality being suspect could get you damn near killed – it was the ultimate insult. I guess the pussification of our military is now complete since the Marines are swallowing it.

I was never in the military, but there’s definitely times I’m glad we didn’t have cell phones back in the 80’s. Nothing gay like deep-throating a dildo, but definitely stupid and embarassing in retrospect. Also drunk like you wouldn’t believe. Multiple misdemeanors and several felonies occurred, all with plausible deniability due to lack of photo evidence. Today’s generation is going be scarred with all the available evidence as to youthful stupidity out there for everyone to see. I’d hate to be in my 30’s on a job interview trying to explain away some youtube video of myself doing something stupid.

That was not a real marine

Being on the boats from 68-72, anyone did something like that, they PROBABLY would have lived long enough to make it back to port. But they would not make it back onto the boat, or any other boat.
