How the worm turns.
A few years ago, I met a guy here in FL who had been a Major in the USSR Strategic Rocket Forces around that time and a little after that. He got really sick, they let him come over here to the US for treatment, and he’s still here now as an American. (Landed on his feet over here once he was well, that one, a sharp guy).
I was curious about what the early 90s were like in the former USSR and he mentioned “it was so bad, even the KGB wasn’t getting paid”.
I hope we don’t end up walking that path, too.

Hey, if it gets so bad the FBI, CIA, NSA and all the other teat suckers aren’t getting paid, great. They will finally share in the sufferingc they helped so much to create, and can all then fuck off back home and mind their own business, leaving the rest of us alone. Of course, even without a paycheck, some percentage of them will still want to play tyrant and make a pain in the ass of themselves. It’s just the nature of some people to act that way, irrespective of whether they receive compensation or not.
All I know is we have more problems than a math test, and no available solutions that don’t suck badly. This is not the future I envisioned for myself.
