Now that the ATF rule on pistol braces is no more, it’s time to reevaluate the home defense gun situation. I can again have a pistol brace on my Scorpion, which is a superior home defense gun for a number of reasons. It is shorter and less unwieldy, allows for faster follow on shots, and swings better than a shotgun. This makes it easier to work corners. I did a review of this PDW a couple of years ago.

Loaded with 135gr Critical Duty FTX ammo, I get a bullet leaving the barrel at just less than the sound barrier, meaning that I get a hard hitting round that is easily suppressed by my Tundra suppressor. With a light, along with laser dot and holographic sights mounted on it, this weapon is great for clearing the house.

It will be stored in a location that makes it easy to access in the event that something goes bump in the night.

Not a bad idea, just don’t forget to check the thought processes of your local DA. If you have one of those that are going to try and jam you up it might be best to leave the NFA and brace stuff in the safe. Now for those in the free world, go for it.

Ever thought about a bullet proof shield? If for nothing else something your family can hide behind along with their defensive weapons.

Just read a post on The Truth About Guns saying:

“However, the decision does nothing to effect actual laws written about bump stocks, including Florida Statute § 790.222, which is titled simply, “Bump-fire Stocks Prohibited.”

Maybe they don’t know what they are talking about concerning Florida but they did get it right about Connectistan.

I’d love to have a Czech Scorpion or Finnish Jati-Matic!
Don’t forget the number one defensive tool…your mindset.
Commies are subhuman vermin unworthy of the gift of life so show no mercy and feel nothing.
Ignore any cries and loot whatever the have on them.
An angel gets its wings everytime you make a good commie.

Nice set up. My Sig Copperhead is now out of the safe. Essentially configured like your EVO, except no laser. I use Win 147gr HP, as the short barrel really likes the subsonic heaver bullets from an accuracy standpoint.

I have an EVO as well, but haven’t decked it out yet. I did buy a telescoping brace just after the “ban” went into effect, but haven’t put it on yet and was always able to say, “I don’t have any braced pistols”. That I could in a moments notice is another point. Anyway, another advantage is that with a concealed carry permit, you can put one in a duffel bag and legally conceal some serious firepower and nobody will give you a second look.

Having the brace and the EVO at the same time was considered “constructive possession” and could have landed you in some hot water.
