Robert Reich just tweeted that Denmark McDonald’s workers make the equivalent of $22 an hour and get 6 weeks’ paid vacation a year. I responded with a picture of a Danish McDonald’s menu, where burgers were listed at kr75, which at today’s exchange rate is about $10.
Other lefty’s responded with a link to a Snopes article saying that BigMacs are the same price there as they are here in the US, and saying that Snopes is a more reliable source than a picture of the actual menu.

Snopes was founded by a democrat specifically to prevent information on the dems getting out.

To that 75 kröner you also need to add the 24% VAT sales tax. Most people I met in Denmark rarely eat out and eat open faced sandwiches of cheap coldcuts like Liver Postej. When we were there in 08 a regular McDonald’s burger .89 cents here was $5 over there.

Fuckin’ snopes. “Deboonking” for leftist retards (but I repeat myself) to drop in conversation like a turd in a punch bowl. My response to that dogshit is right in their name: NOPE! The fact there is an SS leftover is oddly appropriate, considering their desire to play thought police.

Most people my age and younger have no idea what a primary source is and couldn’t build a solid logic based argument if their life depended on it.

The Left doesn’t care about facts , they’ve got NARRATIVES !
Steve · October 11, 2022 at 8:30 am
True. They never let facts get in the way of their opinions. Sadly, this is also taking root in the Right. Conservative, Inc., in the guise of luminaries like Romney, Bush, McCain, Cheney, etc. What actually happened Jan 6 and in the months before then are irrelevant.
I’m pretty sure this contingent is now a solid majority. Probably a supermajority.

Who ya gonna believe? Snopes or your lyin eyes? LOL
But what’s the income tax rate on that $22/hr?

It surprises me one could even stay open for the shitty unhealthy food.
My oldest brother was an exchange student in highschool there and travelled back may times. A very liberal country

Interesting enough, since we discussed medical and engineering earlier, I have to teach new engineers about troubleshooting reactor issues. In most cases we don’t have “primary sources” indicators as you state above. For our particular technology most of the indicators are what we would refer to as secondary sources. For example, bed temperature rising indicates that the internal reaction rate is exceeding the rate at which the cooling system can control. Pressure rising or dropping indicates an imbalance between feed rate, reaction (consumption) rate, and vent rate. Etc. and so forth. You have to take those indicators and look at other info to derive what is really happening.
The hardest part of training is getting them to understand the logic of using multiple secondary sources to understand what the primary causes are doing. One secondary source is not enough, you need several to infer what the primary is doing. Logic is not an easy or intuitive process. Snap answers and simple logic tree analysis don’t always work. There’s some “magic” in there in using intuitive logic to derive answers.
That said, if a primary source is available, use it. But if not, treat all secondary sources as suspect unless supported by other information.
That’s real science, supported by over 3 decades of engineering.

Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many years ago, SNOPES was actually a very good debunking site.
But somehow “woke” took control there and it’s a pile of crap like everything woke touches.
