It started Sunday. I had no appetite, was tired, had a tickle in my throat and a cough. Monday, I woke up with chills and had aches all over. I went to bed with a 100.5 fever. Now my temp is 101.2 and I can’t smell anything. Even though the COVID test I just took is negative, here comes my HCQ, Calcium, Ivermectin.

So no posting until I can get out of bed. If this is COVID, that’s the third time this year.

Tis also the season for colds and flu. I hope you get well soon!

I’m curious, if your treatment regimen is going to include HCQ & Ivermectin why take the test?

    Divemedic · December 13, 2022 at 6:53 pm

I took the test and planned on waiting it out once the test was negative. Four hours later, I lost my sense of smell. Home tests are notorious for false negatives, so COVID regimen it is.

Whole chicken carcass chicken soup with carrots and onions.

Then add live culture Kimchee as much as you can face (DON’T Cook it) and you have Korean Penicillin. You will sweat.

Works for me with a 24 hours bed time.

Damn dude, just getting over that same crap myself. Major chills / fever Friday night and muscle cramps / aches all over like I was being beaten with a stick; no sense of taste/smell for three days. Beat it in a couple of days sweating it out with fluids and lots of bed rest; 2-3x daily oral cleanse with hydrogen peroxide helped as well. Feel better soon!

Could also be RSV. Anyway it sounds like what Mrs B and I had over Thanksgiving, in which case you have my sympathy.

Whatever it is, take it easy, remember to eat, etc cetera. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

That stinks, no pun, love your blog. At least you got it early before Christmas. Hope you feel better sooner than latter. I had something going on a month ago. At home test negative, so did PCR test, still negative. Called my doc. He said I might need antibiotics from what he’s seen going around. I declined. Prolly was a mistake to not take anything.

Well, that really sucks. And, if it’s COVID, so much for “natural immunity” unless it’s a different strain. I had it in September and whatever that strain was was indistinguishable from “regular flu.”

I’m curious – what precautions were you employing? Mask, gloves, etc.?

    Divemedic · December 14, 2022 at 8:42 am

I work in the ED. I stopped wearing a mask weeks ago. It didn’t keep me from getting COVID back in March and again in May.

Wife down for over a week now. Went with me to Lowes and sat in the car yesterday evening as first time just get out of the house. Low grade fever, she says “It’s a cold.” I think otherwise, but if she’s coming out of it she can call it anything she wants to . Man, I hope this passes you quickly; loss of sense of smell is a tip-off from my viewpoint. Hang in there!

I had similar symptoms last spring, with a temp of 101, 102, each morning. Saw my doc, had 2 tests Covid tests done that day, both negative. I took ivermectin and zinc vitamin c tabs as usual. A friend with same symptoms tested positive for Covid. I think the tests are not verifiable.
