It turns out that Canadian truckers have more balls than US truckers. All the US convoy did was drive around for a couple of hours, then called it quits.

Were you out there, DM?

I hate to be the jerk here, but it’s awful easy to say ‘oh they shoulda done more’ when you’re not in the thick of it.

Especially when you’ve just gotten a front row seat to how far the PTB will go to screw you if you inconvenience them more than a trifle.

Nope, but if you aren’t going to see it through, you shouldn’t do it at all.

Stolen from tactical-wisdom.com: “an occupying power is not likely to ever be swayed by protests and is likely to violently respond. They likely have orders to pacify the civilian populace and force is how that is accomplished. Protesting is dangerous and can lead to reprisals.”

Problem is, the Ukraine happened and all of a sudden Covid was “cured”. So having a big demonstration after all the restrictions were chunked doesn’t make a lot of sense. They just waited too long, should have started 18 months ago.

I can see both sides. They peacefully protested and good for them. Most of us aren’t up against the wall, yet although we’re all seeing something worse coming our way. 99.99% of us still have too much to lose by being singled out as one of the “insurrectionists” or “extremists” and made an example of. It takes a critical mass of people driven far enough to make things boil over into mass disruptive action.

I take some inspiration from reading about the events leading up to the Battle of Concord and Lexington in 1775. The people involved that April day showed us what can happen when enough people stand up and say “no further”. I think it helps morally, to see what they were being forced to submit to like confiscation of their arms, arrest of troublemakers like Samuel Adams and John Hancock, and continual violations of most of the rights which are enumerated in the Bill of Rights.

We’re being pushed in the same direction. Knowing that the people who fought to give us our independence stood up when it got to this (points to a line in the ground) point, can help give us an internal guideline on how far we should each be willing to go before doing the same thing they did.

They have themselves and families to feed and don’t want to end up like the J6 political prisoners?
Some replacements could be imported for the dirty work of purging.
