Sick and tired of being sick and tired, I finally caved in and went to the doctor. It turns out that the reason I am feeling so poorly is that I have a moderate case of bilateral pneumonia. No wonder I have felt like I am breathing through a straw.
I’m now on some antibiotics.

Oxygen, it’s the good stuff.
Doctor finally caught elders nearly destroyed hip and it was like some new tires after a replacement.
Keep calm and be the last one standing.

Sorry you’ve been under the weather…I had the dang couf myself….couldn’t shake it…went to the rural NP that serves our community and she gave me two shots…the one in the right cheek hurt like hell….but I felt a lot better the next day.
Just for info….I never had allergies my whole life, and I’m sixty years old…could have slept in a barn full of moldy hay with nary a sniffle….and then I got Covid….
Since then I get the sneezing, watery eyes, congestion, runny nose….WTH???

That’s what I had back in the spring. Was in the hospital for 3 days. Really kicked my ass. I had taken the pneumonia vax too.

What is that goofy machine they sometimes use in the docs office that you breathe into for about 20 minutes and it cleans your lungs out? Nebulizer? I wonder what was in it. Steroids maybe? I gave myself pneumonia one time, decided to get drunk in the woods with my buddies while I had a head cold….and it was 17 degrees outside. Woke up the next day half dead. Between that machine and some pain killers to help me sleep + antibiotics I was better two days later. Pneumonia is a complete bitch and it is no wonder that people die from cold way more often than from heat. Depressing the immune system is a thing.
I am still laughing damn hard about the fact that you had to go see a doctor. Feel better soon bud.

Yeah. At one point, my resting heart rate was 130 and my temp was 102F. I knew I was septic, and I should have gone to the doctor then, but didn’t.

I like to breath, I’m good at it. Glad you saw the Doc and hopefully your recovery doesn’t take too long.

What’s that saying, “A lawyer that represents himself in court, has a fool for a client”? Same applies to in the medical field. ;-))
A joke, DM, get better.

Both times I had pneumonia, I had severe coughing, with copious bloody phlegm coming out during the day. The first time I had it was at my first drafting job, after I had returned from a two week suspension/vacation when my boss overheard me using Bad Words to describe the cockroaches who had torched my brother’s business.
I was giving a presentation on the status of the towed sonar I was doing, when I erupted in a torrent of bloody gunk, all over the boss. Earlier, I had asked to be allowed to take a few hours off to see a doctor, but the boss denied permission…until he had to go to the bathroom to clean his face, hands and clothing.
Two weeks paid vacation, and the boss himself got sick a few days later. Worth the misery of having pneumonia.

Feel better! My sympathies… been there once and don’t want it again. Glad you’re getting the meds to put it away.
