Imagine that the US is in a second civil war. The left thinks that the military would simply use jets, tanks, and nukes to wipe out its own citizens. We all know that nukes are useless against your own people. Jets and tanks are only useful if the opposition is stupid enough to stand around in large groups, waiting to be wiped out.
What if instead, those opposition forces are doing things like this? The cops are not going to catch the people who did it. The fact that airports are “one of the most heavily surveilled areas possible” doesn’t matter, because the wires that were cut are more than 2 miles from the nearest terminal. Surveillance doesn’t extend that far in most cases.
Imagine that there was a simultaneous cutting of similar lines at four or five major airline hubs all over the nation. It would cause nationwide delays that could stretch for days.
This sort of action is something that the military calls a “force multiplier.”

“Deliberately cut” pairs well with an open border for not stage I of CW2 but the first part of hostilities by [name your opfor here].

There’s all sorts of weaknesses out there. When we were by and large a homogenous population of mostly peaceful and law-abiding people, it simply wasn’t necessary to protect things like electrical substations, water treatment and sanitation facilities, infrastructure like critical bridges or passes. Now that we’re not that type of society anymore, we are wide open for all sorts of “force multiplier” events. We’ve already seen the left use arson to further their cause out on the west coast. How long before we devolve into third world conditions where you might get electricity for a few hours a day and you have to boil every drop of water that comes out of the sink, just in case?

If you know what to look for, there is a tremendous amount of vulnerable infrastructure right out in the open. It’s also amazing how much havoc you can create with a $5 can of spray foam.
Part of the game is to make yourself look like you belong where you are or what you’re doing. Dress up like you’re working on a road crew (wear a vest for example) and nobody is going to question what you’re doing in the manhole.
Go into the county offices or court house with your friends and pour gallon bags full of cement into the toilets and flush. Watch the hilarity ensue.

The trick is containing the blowback, and precisely targeting whom you intend.
Collateral damage just gains converts for the other side.
In short, One Shot Paddy snipers are heroes, but marketplace bombers are terrorists who get lynched before they can be taken to jail.
You cut down the power lines to an entire city, you’ve just put millions – including nominal supporters of your position – on the side that wants your hide nailed to a barn.
You shoot out just the transformers that service Oppression HQ, on the other hand, and you’re Zorro.
Learn a lesson from history: they threw the tea into Boston Harbor.
They didn’t burn the ships and the wharves.
And this next time, the Redcoats may not obligingly wear bright uniforms, march in straight lines, and stick to the paved roads.
Word to your mother.

The Left (and even many on the Right) have no idea the viciousness that Civil War II would be.
Think Bosnian Civil War x 100.
For some reason people focus on Republican – Democrat and that is NOT the sides.
On one side are Lefties who love government and want themselves and the government to control everyone’s lives. In all honesty there are people who claim they are on the Right who are in this camp too (Dominionists for example who want a Theocracy that THEY run), many RINOs as well just Lefties with an R after their names.
On the other side are the Patriots who mostly hold traditional values and want a limited government and to mainly be left alone to live their lives in peace.
Then there are “other” groups like feral minorities who are running rampant committing crimes and are mostly getting government checks. You also have Patriots who are getting government pensions, Social Security or disability. They agree with the Patriots but they aren’t going to chance missing out on that check every month. Finally you have the mainly non political vast middle Normies. They half pay attention to the main stream media but have a huge Normalcy Bias.
The key is what would start Civil War II. People on the Patriot side know that once you cross that line, your life as it is now is over forever. Some things that would motivate people to rise up:
Gun confiscation.
Labeling people terrorists and starting round ups.
Seizing people’s 401ks and savings or property.
Starting a War and having a huge draft that the Elite are exempt from.

Somewhere, there is someone with several 5-gallon buckets of dark gray caltrops and a list of important streets just itching to put the two together.
If/when things go All Sporty TPTB have no idea at all what twists and turns will suddenly occur. No sane person would engage in behavior, create policies or perform activities to encourage that, but here we are……

Considering NYC, LA, San Fran, Seattle, etc. don’t have any of my people in there, nukes are still useful.
I don’t have access to them though. What I do have is an angle grinder. Have you ever actually looked at the big transmission line towers? By necessity they go through places with out any people for miles. Coordinate with a few friends to drop a couple at the same time and they won’t be back up soon. Southern California will have some real issues with out the power from Hoover Damn, especially as they are having problems keeping the power on as is.
Similar issues with NYC and their water, the NYC aqueduct is every bit as amazing as any of the great Roman aquaducts… and just about as easy to shut down. Most of it is underground though so it takes some digging, or blasting.

“Strangely”, at several locations around the country electrical transformers were shot from a distance with high powered rifles. The coolant drains out shutting them down. If the core is penetrated, the transformer is ruined and has to be replaced which can take months especially since they are all made in China and there are few to no spares in the USA.

Hypothetically if there was Civil War II, someone could take those out and there would be massive power outages in the big Leftist dominated cities. The .gov would be forced to put many of their troops in there to maintain order. Still chaos would ensue.
Exile1981 · April 22, 2024 at 10:03 pm
When I worked for a power company our ‘backup’ plan for loosing too many transformers at once was to relocate ones from rural low population areas to more expensive zip codes.
Just saying I wouldn’t be surprised if that is still policy.
Divemedic · April 23, 2024 at 7:15 am
That plan goes to shit if the workers there to steal the transformer keep getting shot at. So now some of the people who are supposed to be guarding the airport are now tied down with protecting utility workers. That’s what I mean by force multipliers.
Exile1981 · April 24, 2024 at 8:10 am
I agree. I only brought it up because people in those areas would have to watch their transformers for people sent to steal them

C Dub II will be the cue to activate the Trojan horse armies let in by Vidkun Quisling style traitors?
They prefer Vichy France rule with newcomers.

Regarding tanks and aerial assets, it wouldn’t be like the movies with swarms of them and they don’t usually have IR or thermal.

Once upon a time, so there I was, in a major US Army exercise in Poland. We took out the Corps headquarters for most of a day by taking a single “shot” at the generator they were running everything off of. They didn’t have a backup. They were using electronic everything for command & control. If it weren’t for one crusty old SGM acting against orders, they wouldn’t even have had any paper maps.
