Well, the $7,200 is two years worth of the tax credit. The $3,600 credit per is an expansion on the $2,000 per child tax credit that I remember claiming when my kids were little. So, let’s be accurate. It is an expansion, but by $1,600/year/child, not $7,200 as you implied.
