Unless you’ve been professionally fitted and trained, your mask is useless. And even if you have been, they only protect against the threat they are designed for.
There are reasoy that OSHA, NIOSH, etc have the rules they do for respiratory protection.

What has always amazed me about the Covid insanity is just this. We’ve thrown out everything that is known in history.
Mankind has been studying the effectiveness of masks for something like a hundred years. If you work with even mildly toxic or hazardous materials, you know a lot of this, but study after study, meta-analysis after meta-analysis shows that a cloth mask isn’t going to protect you, and even the best quality respirator, surgical or N95 mask isn’t going to help if you’ve got a beard, or don’t have a proper, perfect fit.
There’s just not much uncertainty left in that statement.

Masks are now a religious item in the religion of politics. Science isn’t used by the leaders of religion or politics, because science says religion and politics don’t work as the leaders advertise.
