I was a witness to one of the most fucked up things that I have ever heard of a cop doing. I was there and saw it with my own two eyes. My wife doesn’t want me to blog details, because she is afraid of what the cops will do to me if they find out I am talking.

There were four witnesses to what happened. I filed a complaint with the supervisor, and he told us “The officer says that isn’t what happened. You must have misunderstood what you think you saw. It’s your word against his, so that’s where things stand.”

I’m gonna give it a week or two to calm down, then I will tell the story.

The reason for this post today is this: My wife is afraid of what the cops will do. How bad have things gotten in this country that ordinary, law abiding citizens are afraid of the police? My wife doesn’t watch the news. She knows little of current events. She says it’s depressing to watch stories about things you can’t change. So how did we get to the point where ordinary people are afraid of the cops?

It’s been that way for decades. Being law abiding, my interactions with LEOs are minimal, but half the time I see attitude even if I’m the one who called them. Us vs them mentality is ingrained in most cops.

Big Ruckus D · August 8, 2023 at 2:00 pm

How? Because the police are (and have been for well on a few decades now at least) criminal scum fucks who abuse their power, lie their assess off about their blatant misconduct, cover each others asses for said blatant misconduct even when the officers providing cover weren’t directly involved in said misconduct, and have militarized with equipment and tactics provide by fedgov, such that even “normies” who don’t choose to keep themselves highly informed as those like us do, instinctively know the police are dangerous and that they generally suck.

There’s good reason why clichéd expressions like “you’re never safe when cops are around” get dropped with some regularity in forums like this. It’s a truism that has been proven up so many times it would almost be comical if it weren’t so damned dangerous. It is now approaching the same level of inherent truth as the “every single fucking time” meme ascribed to the small hat international tribalists.

There is an osmosis-like mechanism that sometimes works to permeate public consciousness to instill certain useful knowledge. Clearly it is at work to give people a justified fear and cynicism towards cops. Cops have only themselves to blame for creating such a piss-poor public image. They have long ago adopted an “us versus them” attitude towards us “civilians” as a fundamental principle of police work, which they now prefer to call “law enforcement”. Note the connotation of that term, as it clearly states in two words that the police will enforce laws with no ethical consideration for their validity. And many laws are dogshit that should be struck from the books, but police will enforce them for profit and even just for fun, simply to fuck with people. Civil asset forfeiture, anyone?

So yeah, fuck the police. And do be careful, DM. You have a history (that you’ve written on previously) of getting into scraps with these dickheads. If posting a recounting of their latest fuckery places you at risk of retribution and ruination, then take a pass on the public disclosure. Your wife is right, it’s depressing to pay attention to shit you can do nothing about. And presently, unless one wants to do a commando style suicide mission against the pigs, there is no taking on the police in any sort of fair fight. The law and the judiciary are fubar and will always seek to protect their own, so you’ll get nothing but more shit heaped on you if you try to challenge the kings horses and men within their own system.

The good cops left, what we have left are mostly scum with badges.

If and when you do decide to talk getting it out wide so that others like audit the audit, lackluster, and cop watch organizations can help spread flak might be of some service if you do experience retaliation.

The remaining police do not understand they are losing their support base from the “good guys” who are starting to hate their extortion, bullying, monopoly on violence, and the automatic assumption of honesty in court nevermind the gang mentality of the blue wall of silence.

It isn’t people waking up to the misdeeds its often direct interaction.

Should you go forward it will be important to not let any of the other witnesses flip or if they do smell it early.

Dirty Dingus McGee · August 8, 2023 at 2:26 pm

” So how did we get to the point where ordinary people are afraid of the cops?”

Because of the way they treat anyone who isn’t in their gang, same as any other gang. We the population are assumed guilty and are therefore to be treated as such. Due to them acting in this manner has caused folks to lose any respect they might have once had for them.

If they want to know why folks hate them, just look in a mirror.

Well, what about a NASCAR kid who lost his gig because he liked a meme? I think that is a very good measure of how far things went.

June J · August 8, 2023 at 3:18 pm

“So how did we get to the point where ordinary people are afraid of the cops?”

Many ways…qualified immunity, civil asset forfeiture, no knock raids on the wrong address/persons…just to name a few.

There are two types of people in the USA.

Those you realize the cops are lying, corrupt and will do anything to protect their own, good, bad or indifferent.

And…

Those who will interact with the cops in the future and realize that cops are lying, corrupt etc. etc.

I was in category 2 until recently.

Bluey · August 8, 2023 at 3:49 pm

Here in Australia, in my state, it was covid. Well publicized overseas what measures were taken to enforce will of government.
That was a couple of decades of getting people to trust police in this state, after being known as corrupt as shit. Pissed away for one politician’s ego.

Rickt · August 8, 2023 at 4:50 pm

And we are going from American scum with badges to Illegal Alien scum with badges soon. When your cops come from an occupying army there isn’t much chance they will side with the populace when the orders come down to start confiscating anything..

Years ago i had someone tryandcar jack meas i was walking up to my vehicle. I was stabbed and clubbed by a maglite. I fought back and broke the nose of the attacker who dropped his weapons and ran into a waiting van.

The cop who showed up threatened to arrest me for fighting back.

A few weeks ago I attended a public event in Orlando. I was an unbadged assistent for lack of better term, so every time I had to go-fer I had to go through security up front. Many times…
Had 14 year old son with me. We found a quiet spot near an exit (still within security perimeter) and were sitting there for almost an hour, in direct line of site of the 3-4 security guys.
Got the call to go-fer and got up to go back insidewith the noise. Security guy saus, “Hey. You just came in the exit. You have to go through security.” I question it. They all say I just tried to sneak in.
Fine. I go back through security with the same rent-a-cops I did already a half dozen times before (not that I expect them to recognize me. out of a couple thousand there)

Afyerwards I expalined to my boy, “You KNOW we did come in through the exit. Sometimes people are mistaken. Sometimes they lie. Sometimes they cover for their own. Do not ever believe a ‘witness’. Ever. See (pointing) cameras everywhere. You get dragged into court an a jury… do NOT believe anything where it is “It’s your word against his, so that’s where things stand.” no matter how serious it seems.”

    Divemedic · August 9, 2023 at 6:25 am

Except in this case, there were 4 witnesses and a victim who told the same story, versus one cop whose version conveniently absolved himself of guilt. Which do you think is most likely the truth?

      D · August 9, 2023 at 9:13 am

The state sees cops as “unimpeachable witnesses” meaning whatever they say is gospel unless you can prove otherwise.

For this reason, I will *always* side with my fellow citizen and give him or her the benefit of the doubt.

Burnt Toast · August 8, 2023 at 10:41 pm

..crap… did NOT come in the exit.

The cops have been at war with the American people since at least the 1920’s. The War on (some) Drugs kicked it into overdrive. The War on Terror just threw gasoline on the flames. Now we have steroid addicted scum who demand we bow and tug our forelock when the King’s Men pass. God help the peasant who doesn’t lick their boots if they decide to give you some attention. Only the most damanged scum wants that type of power over other people. But it isn’t just the cops. I spent 2 hours yesterday in the County Clerk’s office, trying to get a vehicle titled. In that time only one person came in paid and left. Every one else was berated for not having the right form or extorted for more money than they had. The “clerks” are just as bad as the cops.

TRX · August 9, 2023 at 10:51 am

My personal reasons:

jacked up at gunpoint: police 2, crims 0

threatened with ‘grievous bodily harm’: police 1, crims 0

break-and-enter with property damage: police 1, crims 1

assault: police 6, crims 0
[in my state, holding, displaying, or “brandishing” a weapon is assault, depending on circumstances. Officer Unfriendly and his homies like to prop their hand on their holstered weapon as they get in your face. That’s assault, as described by the black-letter law; there isn’t any exception for “police officers playing bad-ass.” Granted, nobody gets hurt, but it’s still a crime, and they certainly know better, since they enforce it against citizens who do it.]

Your wife still obeys bad laws and pays the taxes that fund this evil, right? Nothing will change until that ends. She and ten million of her demographic could change it, starting by organizing politically over social media and then removing their car’s license plates, but they won’t. Germany showed that most citizens are pacifists and will get on the boxcars before they disobey the authorities.

    Divemedic · August 9, 2023 at 11:19 am

So tell us all about how you have removed the plates from your car and stopped paying taxes while cruising down the road with bags of cocaine. You’re such a badass that you post anonymously…

    badass

    Anonymous · August 9, 2023 at 9:48 pm

Straw man. I wrote: “and ten million of her demographic could change it, starting by organizing politically over social media”. Of course I post anonymously, just like the authors of the Federalist Papers, after learning how well red coats worked for the British army. Why would your objection be, ‘but you aren’t doing a particular battle plan that the mainstream media promotes as a tar baby, composed of a numerical headcount ratio of 1:300 million against, which we already know won’t work’?

I’ll restate my point, which is that liberty is simple: just elect a bunch of clones of Ron Paul collected from the national Libertarian party. But this obvious and successful strategy does not allow remaining the beneficiary of existing redistribution policies, like Social Security. I think of this as a monkey trap. Do you remember when the Tea Party protested funding cuts to the Kennedy Space Center?

      Divemedic · August 10, 2023 at 7:26 am

Do you even know what a strawman is? You came on here, without even bothering to use a handle and demand that my wife and I stop paying taxes and remove our license plates. Have you taken any of the acts that you are demanding that my wife and I take?
I get this all of the time- chairborne commandos who come to my site and demand that I take actions to fight the system, while you yourself sit in front of your keyboard and do nothing but demand that others fight for your rights.
Don’t even begin to compare yourself and your word salad to the Federalist papers- at least they used a handle, and they took action instead of merely demanding that others do so.
Let me hit you with this clue bat, since you can’t seem to understand what my objection is- You came to my site and demanded that my wife and I stop paying taxes, remove the plates from our car, and stop obeying the law. Note that you are demanding that others take actions. So my request is this- Take these actions yourself before demanding that others do so on your behalf.
Voting for Rand Paul isn’t going to do shit.

    Anonymous · August 10, 2023 at 12:29 pm

demand that my wife and I stop paying taxes and remove our license plates

This is a strawman fallacy, because you’re responding to a position I don’t hold. What I wrote was: “and ten million of her demographic could change it, starting by organizing politically over social media”. This is the most Norman Rockwell, doorbell-ringing 1950’s mainstream get out the vote on your block political campaign.

      Divemedic · August 10, 2023 at 12:43 pm

let me quote you then (emphasis added).

      Anonymous · August 9, 2023 at 11:11 am :

So lead the way, champ. Take off those plates and stop paying those taxes. Let me know when you are done. Come back and tell us how it works out. Or do you only advocate that others take these actions for you?

      Anonymous · August 12, 2023 at 1:15 pm

The political reform plan doesn’t work if you skip step 1:

      1. Organize ten million of her demographic over social media in a Norman Rockwell, doorbell-ringing, 1950’s mainstream get out the vote on your block political campaign.
      2. Take license plates off your car.
      3. Stop paying the taxes that fund this evil.

Malcolm X’s plan would never work because he wanted to skip step 1.
MLK’s plan did work because he thoroughly pursued step 1.

While you’re performing step 1, you can take other tracking-reducing steps with no legal consequences, like not carrying your cell phone everywhere and turning most of your paper wealth into coins at home. These steps won’t alter external forces enough to see, but the effect on the actor’s mindset is huge. “Here I am, deliberately getting out of step with the evil around me. I will actively look for low-consequences ways to become less engaged with evil, like hosting my own blog on my own overseas server.” Yes, it has practical benefits like rejecting the censorship of the day, but I think it’s mostly a mindset improvement.
