Heartwarming.
And after the game, they should have tarred and feathered the jackass(es) who decided “no National Anthem”, and run them out of town on a rail, with instructions never to return to the civic precincts on pain of an unhappier ending.
Give a holler when that becomes the norm as well, and we’ll be well on our way to back to normal.

Back story: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/fresno-california-crowd-boos-when-theres-no-national-anthem-at-game-sings-it-anyway-star-spangled-banner/ I’ve been to many baseball tournaments, unless it was multiple fields in one complex, games being played simultaneously, the SSB was played before every game, so not sure what protocol the guy is talking about. This was a state championship game.

I’m impressed, they’re in the right key and they stayed there!
That aside, for this to have meant anything beyond the moment, both the announcer who said that *and* the jerkoff who made that decision should have been physically removed from the ball park before the game started.

And it goes without saying that the Commiefornian that decreed that the anthem was not going to be performed was shaking their head with an eye roll the whole time the real Americans were defying that unpatriotic edict.
I hope it just ruins their day every time they think about it, and I hope they think about it a lot.

Try to bear in mind that the anthem was in fact sung by hundreds of “Commiefornians”.
And maybe retune your radar.
