Here is a prime example as to why you can’t rely on a TASER in a situation where you are in danger of death or serious bodily injury. The cops hit this guy twice with a TASER, and he still fought with them and with hospital staff, to the point where they had to use restraints.

Now instead of fighting with cops, imagine that you are shooting him with a TASER while he is stabbing your wife.

Honestly even a handgun is weak sauce when dealing with a motivated or “mental” human. Rifle or shottie preferred if you can keep them close.

When they work, they work extremely well.
*When* *they* *work*.

Clothing too thick? Doesn’t work.
Barbs don’t hit in the right spot? Doesn’t work.
Barbs miss? Doesn’t work, and you have to snap on a new cartridge (some cartridges can do 2 deployments) or go hands-on and contact-stun the person.

Contrast that with a firearm. Clothing too thick? LOL. Unless they’re wearing body armor or your shooting those .22 birdshot loads, clothing doesn’t matter.

Missed? Semi-auto automatically reloads the next round. No fumbling with your belt to grab another round and load it.

speaking from experience… taser is an awesome tool but like any tool, they don’t always work…
