SIOP- The Single Integrated Operations Plan. It’s a war plan for the strategic assets of the US military. This plan, covering thousands of pages, is one of the most classified documents that the military has. It details targets, timing, and routes for the nation’s armed forces in the event of a nuclear war. The plan outlines where each cruise missile, land based ICBM, and bomber will strike, what paths they will take, and how they will be supported- tankers, fighter support, and more. The plan is meticulously timed so that no two weapons interfere with each other. A cruise missile might take out a SAM site, then an aircraft out of a European base might fly through the gap created to strike an airbase that allows other forces to reach a missile field. A bomber that is too close to a cruise missile detonation becomes useless when it’s downed by fratricide, so timing is important. SIOP gets updated constantly.
The US Air Force operates a wing of RC-135s whose mission is electronic reconnaissance. They map every single radio and radar transmitter that puts out more power than a toaster for hundreds of miles on each side of its flight path. For radars, it isn’t just location. The plane records the frequency, power, pulse width, and repetition rate of every radar. For radio, they record conversations, frequency, and other facts to determine whether or not those radios belong to command posts, air traffic controller sites, or other defense functions.
How does this tie in to the Chinese balloons? It’s very possible that the Chinese are preparing for a war. Yes, a nuclear one. It’s my feeling that, before invading Taiwan, the Chinese are updating their own version of SIOP. Any invasion of Taiwan has a possibility of involving the United States, and any nation that takes on the US military has to consider the possibility that the conflict will eventually involve a nuclear exchange. PLAN would not be doing their jobs if they did not have an updated picture of the capabilities of NORAD.
These drones, balloons, whatever they are, are mapping the defenses of this nation for a reason. Why now? Why so many? Why risk it? The risk is high, so the reward must be equally as high.

Makes sense. The military that withdrew from Afghanistan is not the military that could assemble a meticulously timed battle plan; therefore the SIOP is comic book movie fiction. Whoever put up the balloons would be wanting to inventory the territory for themselves, because simply buying the SIOP document from traitors wouldn’t get them very far.

It’s hard for me to believe attackers would poison North America with fallout, when the North American territory itself is the prize. Suppose the Democrat big cities and the government command centers will be firebombed with conventional weapons. What happens next? Debt Jubilee, and end of bad government policies. That’s not a win for an attacker.
It’s like the jab is a secret libertarian plot, because it carefully targets only liberals.

Maybe not a conventional nuclear attack – something more like neutron bombs (for quick de-population), or massive EMP’s for a slow depopulation. The former leaves all the power infrastructure intact so I’d expect that to be first choice, if they could do it.

PLAN doesn’t have enough warheads for a full attack. A limited exchange taking out Guam and the naval ports in Japan, Hawaii, and the West coast would ensure that the US would be out of the fight until it was too late to change the outcome.
That would take less than a dozen warheads, and Pedo Joe won’t retaliate.

That’s exactly what I think is going on as well…preparing their equivalent of the SIOP for when they need to neutralize the USA to take back Taiwan.
I was assigned to the JSTPS for four years and worked on the SIOP, in the office that did the ICBM/SLBM deconfliction and produced the documents and targeting tapes.
These current events are making the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

Waiting for the Babylon Bee to post tweet from NOAA asking the Air Force to please stop shooting down their weather balloons.

SIOP officially ended in 2003, since it was aimed at the no longer extant USSR.
I’m sure there is something similar in place for dealing with adversaries like China and Russia, but I doubt it has the same singular focus.
What I wonder about is why the balloons and why now… Are they testing us, are they collecting specific data satellites can’t get, is one branch or unit of the Chinese military trying to influence international relations, or gather information they want that because that unit doesn’t have access to satellite information? Could be any or all of the above, or something I haven’t thought of.

Interesting things there..
And things to ponder

You can pick up that document at Jilly B’s yard sale in the banker’s box section in the Corvette trunk.
A soft weak necrophobic society is going to get smacked upside the head by reality real fast as the remaining clueless dullards learn that government doesn’t exist to serve them and the Law of the Jungle is supreme.
