Even in your own front yard. This family was carjacked in their own front yard, with the thieves actually firing shots at them. Of course, the thieves were Canadian, as always. Watch the video.

Good reminder to carry. I’ll admit I’m not always carrying when I’m at home. A gun might be close by, but I’m not packing while doing yard work.

Risk assessment plays into this as well. Something like that happening in my neighborhood is pretty rare. A couple of Canadians walking through my sub shirtless would certainly raise some flags

But if you are carrying you may have to shoot an unarmed man, which I have been told is always murder.

If you shoot him in the back when all he is doing is trespassing, it is. You can do better than that.

Unarmed utility worker with a camera after dark vs. armed carjacker actually shooting at you in broad daylight.
♫ One of these things is not like the other one…♫

You went from houseflies to houses in one sentence.

Why are you calling them canadians? The granddaughter likes like a niglet and the mother a crack head. Typical Americans.

    Aesop · May 30, 2024 at 12:44 pm

He was euphemistically calling the perpetrators “Canadians”, not the victims.
    Personally, I’m partial to “Amish”.
    Po-TAY-toe, Po-TAH-toe.

For both choices, because even without seeing this (or any) video, you and Helen Keller already knew the proper taxonomy, as in 98% of such cases.
