Yes, the first information from a major event is usually wrong. It’s called the ‘fog of war’ and it’s a well known phenomenon. The problem is that the news coming out from Trump’s attempted assassination keeps making the entire even glow brighter as time goes on.
The latest is that the police spotted the shooter on that roof at 5:45, called it in and took a picture of him. Trump didn’t take the stage until 6:05. The shots were fired at 6:11.
So when the suspicious person was called in, why did Trump’s detail still allow him to take the stage? Why didn’t anyone go over there and check it out? Was this incompetence? Complacency? Or something more sinister?
We will never know the truth.

Yet, we must pay the salaries/perks/bennies/pensions of every State actor working that day. Even though it was an epic FAIL. (When a perp has all DAY (relatively) to access a high vantage point, set up and take his shots, that’s an epic FAIL).
Pundits praised the USSS for their bravery and rapid response to vacate Trump from the stage. What I keep on seeing is a female agent about a foot or more shorter that Trump, assisting in his exit, all while his upper chest & neck were exposed to additional incoming. And a SWATTED-out guy on stage, 10+ feet away from Trump, nervously overlooking the crowd for threats (you’re out of position, dude).
You KNOW, deep INSIDE, when you see spectators pointing to the perp, calling out his NAME (“Hey Crooks, what are you doing? Come down from there!”) that a true shitshow is in play.
I wonder how the agents shifted to “Doctor” Jill Biden’s protection team feel about missing “the big one?” These people LIVE for the MOMENT, the EVENT, but were shunted to another venue because……..

The “swatted out” guys are part of the CAT. Their job isn’t to shield the President, but to stay away from him to engage and delay any pursuers or other assailants. In the event of multiple attackers, the CAT engages them while the team with the President escapes. It seems like he was doing his job.
As a side note, I have heard many people saying that Jill isn’t a “real” doctor, but that is misplaced criticism. Medical doctors aren’t the only people with doctorates, especially in education. Most principals (especially in high school) are doctors (doctorate in education).
In my current career, there are medical doctors (MD and DO), pharmacy doctors (PharmD) and doctors of nursing (DNP). Oddly enough, the only doctorate that I am aware of that DOES’T get it’s recipient called “doctor” is the juris doctorate, which is the one that allows its recipient to take the bar exam. They are instead called “esquire.”

In response to your view on doctorates, you are correct, Divemedic, but in the news media, (newspaper) of which I was a part here in the eastern US for over 37 years, the term Dr. before a name was usually only in print for those in the medical and veterinary professions, the other doctorates not added unless it was part of a news story with honorary titles, graduation ceremonies, etc.. The AP stylebook, however, has changed to more woke perspectives in the years since, because things don’t read the same to me as they used to. So giving Mrs. Biden the title of Dr. doesn’t pass muster for me as much as it may be used by the press now for access. redclay7

That’s probably because you and your colleagues never got a proper education (i.e., never learned Latin). If you had, you would know that the word doctor comes from Latin docere, which means to teach. And doctor is simply Latin for a teacher. It became a title when the Church decided to distinguish its most prominent teachers, known today as “Doctors of the Church”. Then the Church followed with a “licence to teach” at its most prominent schools, which led into the modern Ph.D.
So there should be absolutely no problem with referring to Jill as Dr. Biden.

People are not saying she is not a real doctor because it’s not an MD, they are saying it because its an honorary degree. She’s the only person I’ve heard of demand she ve called doctor for something they got free without earning it

It is my understanding that she has a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, which is the Doctorate that many school principals have. It’s a fairly common degree, and one that has become the standard for teachers wishing to be in leadership positions.

You are partly right most good highschool principals get a phd in education which requires 4 years, actual research, publishing a paper and you have to defend your dissertation.
An Ed-d or doctorate of ed you can get with writing a paper and claiming experience. The two are not the same.
She got it by applying to a college her husband had pull at. I doubt if she was anyone but his wife they would have awarded it to ger for her paper.
The other 3 she has are all honorary ones.

She actually has a Doctorate of Education. It was awarded in the field of Educational Leadership. At the time she received that, NSF considered her Ed.D. from UDel as equivalent to a Ph.D. It was around 2010 that NSF changed its ways, and I am assuming UDel followed suit soon after and restructured its “doctoral offerings”. So now they have only one Ed.D. (in Educational Leadership) and the rest are now called Ph.D. NSF no longer considers Ed.D from UDel to be a research doctorate. But the degrees awarded before 2010 are.
On top of that she has a half a dozen honorary doctorates.
Either way, you are absolutely correct that she can call herself Dr. Biden.

This has happened a BUNCH of times in my EMS career. The smart docs when hearing the ambo siren say to the pt, “Well it looks like you’re good hands” and leave.
The other dumber ones stick around, try to assert some level of control until asked, are you assuming medical control and riding in with us?

These events are designed to be sh*t shows, with multiple pre written narratives to appeal to different audiences. The confusion about the shooter, the timeline, the video clips and all the minutia regarding feigned incompetence covers the escape of actual perpetrators. Like the Vegas shooting and sandyhook, there will be no truth save the fact that the government hates you and wants you and your family dead.

The more info that comes out, the worse it looks for the “protection”. It would seem to me that given the hatred that Trump generates from the left, someone should have expected this to happen and had some type of actual plan. It’s almost like they took lessons in security protocols from Roscoe P Coltrane, or Sheriff Buford T Justice.Be better off hiring 1%er bikers to do the security.

In the event that they do kill Trump before the election, you can bet there will be attempts against Biden. To someone with training, motive and access to gear, it would be fairly easy. It probably wouldn’t be from the barrel of a gun either, there are so many other options available. When/if either happen, shit will truly hit the fan. EVERYTHING we know as life will end. The country will be locked down tighter than dicks hatband, think East Germany in the 50’s-60’s, massive unemployment and the resulting riots, open warfare of every tribe against the other tribes.Most folks would be lucky to survive for a month under those conditions, many less than that. I figure I’m good for 3-4 months, given my location and preparations. Beyond that it’s a crap shoot, depends on how my tribe makes out and what infrastructure survives.

Has anyone heard what sight he had. I saw a report of it being a red dot? So if we are to believe all this. A kid that couldn’t make a high school shooting team and couldnt hit a target but hit a bld 20 yards away from the target, has now made a 150 yard shot with a red dot!! In case you haven’t heard, now DHS/SS is saying there is/was a known and valid Iranian threat against Trump, Pompeo and Bolden. But they haven’t done anything to protect Trump or them better??
