This is why the US won’t ever surpass China and other nations in manufacturing or most other fields ever again. How can any manager think that they can compete with a business with actual work ethics if all of their employees work a 24 hour workweek with unlimited paid time off working from home?

American workers have become lazy, unproductive losers that won’t get anything done, but demand high wages and lavish benefits.

You aren’t feeling okay today & need a mental health day? We gotchu. Out of PTO but need an extra day? Not an issue. Soon the boomers are outta here & it’s our turn to set the standard.

What are you going to do when all of the dead wood is costing you tons in expenses, killing your margins, and your Chinese competitor is producing your product at half the cost?

“Bring on the 4-day workweeks and 6-hour days,” one commenter said. “I currently do nothing half the day.”

To me, this isn’t an argument for giving you more time off, this is an argument for firing two employees and outsourcing their job to some Indian call center that will do twice the work at half the cost. We all know that, should you get a 24 hour workweek, you aren’t going to magically become more productive. Instead of your current 20 hours of work in a 40 hour workweek, you will be at work for 24 hours a week, being paid like you are there for 40 hours, but only producing about 8 hours of real work. That is a recipe for being replaced.

The US is doomed. We are headed for the new Dark Ages and the rise of the new Chinese dynasty.

Maybe we deserve it.

Post WWII, some people thought mechanization would lead to shorter and fewer work days… I doubt it will ever happen.
There are a number of companies who prefer older workers for reasons like this.
I’d like to see a regional survey of attitudes like this; the young people I’ve worked with don’t have these attitudes. I suspect these attitudes are primarily white collar big city or coastal attitudes.

What is there to work for?
A house I can not afford?
A family when I can not find a sane woman, nor could I afford to homeschool kids to keep them away from the pedophiles?
Oh, I know, I should work to support all the parasite nonwhites and the boomers and their pensions.
Yes, I am totally inspired to keep this country going and I definitely don’t want to watch it burn.

Manufacturing is a construct of the white male patriarchy.
Only printing presses are needed for fiatbux production.

it is kind of sad with people thinking we could fight a war like we did back in WW2. I always tell them there no way we could even come close to it.
we no longer have the factories to make the stuff needed. we no longer have a work force that could do the work needed for it.
and we no longer have the people or mindset to engage or win a war like we did back then.
but the clowns in DC think we still can. how, I have no idea ?
armies always train to refight the last war, and that is where we are fucked. WW2 training did not work in Vietnam or the sandbox (pick which one ) and going up against a peer ? like say China or Russia
we be fucked. maybe that why they where thinking of nukes a while back. even there, our stuff is old when compared to the newer stuff they have. and we do not have the stockpile needed to fight like that
again either.
and do not get me started on the training they doing now.
what a joke. and I am a old grunt too. we just don’t have it anymore.

Our nuclear stockpile is old and outdated. Our newest warheads were designed and built more than 40 years ago. Our newest nuclear missiles are 33 years old in the case of the submarine launched Trident, the Minuteman 3 was designed in the mid 60s and built in the 70s.

If we’re being told by the WEF that we’ll “own nothing and like it”, I guess we only need to work enough to serve the needs of the elites.

Has the WEF talked to China lately? I wonder if they’ll play along.

My 20 year old son and his friends are hard workers. Biden’s approval rating among 19-29 year olds is the lowest of all age brackets. We know that the media lies about everything, so is it possible that they are exaggerating the scale of the laziness to make headlines?

And they’ve been spoiled. Let’s see how they react to the coming financial troubles and material shortages. They may surprise you.

And China is SCREWED because of their one baby policy. Their working age population is in steep decline. Nearly every child in China has no brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, or cousins. Yes, they are now allowed to have more babies, but that won’t have any positive impact for 20 years, at best.

Can a military that is comprised entirely of only-children, in a society that reveres sons, actually fight a real war?

Yes, the US may be screwed, but China is definitely doomed.
