People are complaining as housing costs rise. This teacher can’t afford to buy a home that she wants, but also complains that rent is too expensive, as rent costs nationwide are above $2,000 for the first time ever. But, hey, she doesn’t have to read mean Tweets, so she has that going for her.
“Rents are going up just as fast as home prices are,” says Fairweather. Yes, that is how economics works. People buy houses, then rent them out. If the cost to buy goes up, then so does rent. The same thing happens in restaurants, when the cost of food goes up, the prices at the restaurant go up. It isn’t rocket science. Take a look:
Beginning in February/March of 2021, rents began to skyrocket. Renting a home costs 15% more than it did a year ago. If only we could pinpoint an event that happened in January of 2021 that could be responsible for this rapid increase in housing costs.
Reading her Linked in page, she lists the following as her causes:
Children • Education • Human Rights • Politics • Poverty Alleviation • Social Services
Given that, I am guessing that she voted for Biden. Fuck her. She is getting EXACTLY what she voted for. Boo fucking hoo.

I no longer even attempt to reason with a brainless, libtard cretin. As the saying goes, you can’t teach a pig to sing, it irritates the pig and wastes your time. If a person isn’t intelligent enough to be a conservative, fuck’em, they deserve what they’re going to get, gooder and harder. Rinse and repeat.

Enjoy muh democracy Kenzie, you voted for it.
The CPUSA counts on the stupidity of the voters as Hillary stated.
That is why they are going for the Fundamental Transformation by any means necessary.
Long Marching for 100 years and some dullards still haven’t caught on.
It was 1922 when the CPUSA said that they would deliver USA to the global soviet.

Heh. Against my better judgement I linked through to the npr story. I was not at all surprised when my expectation that the teacher pictured would be a hambeast with pulled back hair and problem glasses was so masterfully fulfilled. Everyone say hi to Karen now.
Anyway, wise men do the same now as we did when we were younger and had harpies like her as teachers: avoid them to the greatest extent possible. Do not engage with them in conversation or debate. It is not only a waste of your precious time, but is increasingly risky. Pissing off a libshit Karen (though I repeat myself) can have myriad consequences for a man. And anything we are likely to say to her will piss her off.
Nice too that she has a 5th grsde daughter. She needs a replicant to ensure we never get free of her style of histrionic bullshit, and I’m sure she is raising her daughter to take her place in that role soon enough. The consequences of single mommery indeed.

Rents are going up just as fast as home prices are,
Well! That just doesn’t make sense at All!
So, you’re telling Me that the price to Rent something is somehow related to the Price OF that thing?

“People buy houses, then rent them out.”
Once upon a time, exactly so. Now it’s more “Blackwater buys (damn near) all the houses and massively distorts the market.”

That is no different than what is happening in every other industry. Restaurants used to be nearly all sole proprietorships. Now it’s a sea of Darden, Yum!, Restaurant Brands Int’l, and Bloomin’ Brands owned restaurants. The mom and pop owned business is a much smaller slice of the market than it used to be.
Still, more than 80 percent of all single family home rental properties are owned by single owners.
