Joe Biden today said that US citizens can’t use AR15s to resist the power of his government because they’d need F-15s & nukes to take on the government.
I know how we can get some- just look on the Internet, where the geniuses of the US Air Force have posted the information needed to steal them.
All kidding aside- what the President is saying is that he is going to use nukes on US citizens on US soil. I cannot ever remember any sitting US President threatening to use nuclear weapons against his own country. So, to you on the left who are apparently feeling like you are experts in military conflict: Explain exactly how nuclear weapons would help the US government win a war against its own citizens. Will you drop one on Chicago? Your own farmland?
What about those F15s? What can an F15 do against a citizen militia? In case you didn’t know- the F15 is a fighter aircraft, completely useless against anything but other aircraft. Now I know that you idiots think that the F15 is somehow a magic talisman, even to the point of trying to use one to intimidate protesters, but it won’t work.
Let me explain to you how such a conflict would work:
You call out the troops, and they show up with tanks and every heavy weapon they can find. The militia disappears, blending into the populace. Then, while this massive army is in the field, the citizens showed up at the factory that made some indispensable widget required for your tanks to work, and killed half of the assembly line workers.
So half the army now has to be posted at the factory. The next time, the citizens show up at the houses of the families of those troops. Now they all have to be moved onto secure bases.
Then what? A soldier goes out on the town for a bit R&R then disappears.
Wars like that get ugly. I think that at this point, such a conflict appears unavoidable.

I actually knew an F-15 pilot who said he would have bombed waco if he had been told to do so. That was a long time ago. Imagine what the sentiment would be today.

I also don’t think air strikes on US cities are a viable option for a citizen uprising.

The military depends on civilians for a whole crapload in the states. Like logistics. Let’s see how easy they get from point a to b after they pick that fight.
I’ve worked in telecom and networking my whole career. You’d be surprised how much damage a sawzall, ball pean hammer, or BB gun can do if you know what to hit.

The old saying is “the army marches on its stomach.” That’s an understatement – it leaves out everything else they need. The shooters are the very end of a very long tail of logistics that Jo Chi Minh just doesn’t understand. There will be no food, no ammunition replenishment, no replacement parts, nothing.
For one example, Military ammunition sales are about 2% of what the American manufacturers produce. They’re going to jeopardize sales to the 98% for the the 2%, when they sell everything they produce and have a two year order backlog?
Aerial attacks and nukes against American citizens in American cities is so insane it takes someone like him or Eric Swalwell to think of it.
It will be constant attacks against that logistics tail. It won’t just be the families of the troops guarding the defense factory. It will be **everything.**

I heard Joe say a few years ago that you can’t fight an F-15 with an AR-15.. Which is a pretty stupid thing to say, because you can. You get enough guys with AR-15’s you can take the F-15’s air fields, destroy air power’s fuel supply and logistics chain.
They’ve probably war gamed the Second Civil War already, and Joe thinks he’s going to win it. The thing is that you can’t war game men’s hearts. The question of what the military will do when they order attacks on Americans, of what the Chinese, Russians, Canadians, Mexicans, Europeans will all do when we start murdering one another..
Well, even the wise cannot see all ends, and these tools and in Washington and New York are fools. I hope to God they stop before they do anything openly evil and idiotic, because that war would be one nobody will win.

Air strikes on US cities will immediately kill a lot more voters and net-tax-consumers than libertarians. Air strikes will break the city electrical grid, then the fire hydrants stop working, and then the city burns. Once the cities are seen to be war zones, everybody who isn’t crazy will evacuate, just like NOLA during Katrina. Then the remaining people in the city will be like those you saw looting NOLA during Katrina. These people are too dysfunctional to produce anything useful to the attackers, even voting or snitching. I don’t think there’s much more attacking that can be imposed on a city than the current BLM, before the result disadvantages the attackers. You see the rich Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta is now seceding and setting up a better police force?

No Better Example that any given politician is a Traitor to the Nation when they mention the use of the Military against the People as a Threat to make them comply with non-Constitutional “laws”.
As far as I’m concerned, the Very First Use of the Military against the People should be the Signal for Any and Every person in the employ of the fedgov to be Attacked. Don’t bother with “Hard Targets”, go after the bureaucrats who conduct the Daily Functions of an Illegitimate ‘government’.

Couple guys with anything .30 cal sized, sitting a half mile off the departure end of the runway. Jets are heavy and low, couple rounds, pretty much center mass and you’re likely to hit a rapidly spinning engine. They’re not armored, the engine bay panels are about .050” thick and losing an engine while heavy, slow and close to the ground is what’s known as “a bad thing” in aviation. Especially in a single engine jet like an F-16 or F-35. Any decent wingshooter, skeet, or trap shooter can probably make that shot.

Except for the optical coatings on canopies and visors. Unless you happen to know the wavelength those coatings are designed to reflect or absorb, and can get a laser operating at a different wavelength, you wouldn’t do very much other than paint yourself as a target.
The laser, especially if it’s visible, is a giant pointer showing where the laser operator is lurking.

I recall seeing a USAF film many years ago showing a strafing run by a fighter. I think it’s known as “steel rain” – I don’t recall how big the path of the striking projectiles was – probably a hundred fifty yards or so. Everything in that path was pretty much shredded. It was awesome – but that was when the aircraft had machine guns. Any pilot that would do that within the homeland had best fly to Cuba to land.
