You will note that there was not really a post yesterday. There really isn’t one today, and there may not be one tomorrow morning, either.

Events in my personal life have been taking up all of my time as of late. We went to retrieve Mom’s ashes from the Funeral Home, then there are work obligations, preparations for the coming holiday, final inspections on our new home, completing financing and preparing to close on the same, and preparing for our upcoming move.

In other words, something has to give, and there is no spare time for me to post for now. Maybe by Tuesday.

At least college is on semester break right now, so that helps a bit. College sure is easier when you are younger and have fewer responsibilities. The only nice thing about being so busy is that my life and time are so full that I don’t have time to dwell on the loss of my mother and the grief that would otherwise consume me.

I’m sorry about your loss.

We’ll wait…hell we get your great posts for free! Take care of your family and all things will eventually take care of themselves.
You’re still going to have to work your ass off but it will happen.
I HATE moving even when it was out of a house I didn’t like and into a new build I love. Set aside some time and energy to process the loss of your mom. I hope the good memories replace all the sad ones soon.

Take care of yourself friend. Take time for yourself. I did many a mile wandering in the woods after I buried my parents.

No worries, Sir. Priorities for sure. We, your loyal followers, will abide and await your return patiently. May things smooth out for you. A LOT on your plate and please accept my condolences also. Peace, Bone

The first time I ever experienced snow was on Christmas Morning, 1973, in Satellite Beach, Florida (just a tad south of Cape Canaveral. Little fluffy snow bits that clearly lofted like snow, looked like classic snow and melted on the picture window.

The second time I ever experienced snow was two days before Christmas in 1989 in Gainesville, Florida. The day before it went from 78 to 19 while raining (then sleeting then snowing.) I made a snowman about 6″ tall in my yard, then me and the dog went sliding around on the grass and trimmed it all down, afterwards I trimmed bushes using a 2×4.

There’s always a chance of snow in Florida, just a slight, micro, very small, miniscule chance…
