I want to take a minute to go over the article that reports the police officers who pepper sprayed a 9 year old girl. They have a 9 year old CHILD in handcuffs. There are at least 7 police officers at the back of this patrol car, and the CHILD is already in handcuffs. The child is upset, and is freaking out, asking for her dad.

They are being rough and aggressive to a child. To any of you with experience dealing with children: Is this how you deal with an upset child? What would happen to a parent who used pepper spray as a method of controlling or punishing a child?

Pepper spray isn’t supposed to be used as punishment. Cops are supposed to punish people.

The officers who lost their patience with a child to the point where they used a weapon on an inconsolable child do not have the patience or temperament to carry a weapon. Fuck these cops. This absolutely infuriates me. Tell me again how there are only a few bad apples. Are you seriously going to tell me that there were 7 bad apples that just happened to be in the same spot?

Seeing this is enough to make me want to cheer if I ever hear about a Rochester cop getting killed. If there are any good cops who see this- why do you not call out the bad apples? If you know that cops are acting like this in your department and you aren’t doing anything about it, you are just as guilty as they are.

In the coming tactical exercise, a uniform is a target. Continuing to wear one at this juncture is a choice of which side you’re on.

Yeah and don’t forget about that asshole in Minneapolis who set off a firestorm last summer. These people can’t get into any situation without kicking the crap out of someone – or worse.

Hell, I’ll play devils advocate here.

How many of you guys reading this blog have experience with emotional nine-year-old girls?

I didn’t think so. I was nearly 40 myself before I had to deal with one.

You gotta remember, all officer meathead has is a hammer so everything’s a nail. And there’s a lot more to this than just officer meathead happening by, putting a nine-year-old girl in handcuffs and pepper spraying her.

This comes at the end of a major shitshow, where said nine-year-old girl threatened to hurt her mother. Who was belligerent as well.

https://www.dailydot.com/irl/new-video-police-pepper-spray-girl/

She was pepper sprayed because she was combative all morning long, and not complying.

If I were one of those cops, and officer friendly stepped in and said you’re doing it all wrong, I’d say have at it genius! But they all were there and they knew what was going on, unlike anyone reading about this.

There is a case like this in DFW where all you saw was the white cop taking down 15-year-old girl, who was trespassing with a crowd that overwhelmed a membership only pool, and putting his knee on her neck. How horrible!

What you didn’t see it until much much later, was that he told the girl to disperse the area, she walked across the street, spun on her heels, walked back and got in the cop’s face.

What you didn’t learn until much much later, was that the cop came there from a call where a dude sat down in his kitchen and splattered his brains on the walls with his family in the house.

The story is always deeper, you are never shown the whole thing.

I raised a daughter. I still don’t see where there is an excuse to pepper spray a 9 year old who is already in handcuffs. There are other options.

That is because you are a little higher on the tree of life than officer meathead, who is on the lower branches with the lesser apes and gibbons.

Other options are academic, since we aren’t seeing the whole story. In general you’re right but maybe not so with every nine-year-old.

Nothing will happen to these uniformed jackbooted thugs. They have “qualified immunity” and there is no court case establishing precedent that it is unacceptable to pepper spray a nine year old child.
