This article says that when poor people see rich people, they are more likely to vote for wealth redistribution. This is the exact reason why we are not a democracy. Flip it- suppose that the 51% of people who are the richest vote to make the 49% of the poorest become slaves. How would this be morally any different than the poorest 51% voting to take the money of the richest 48% for themselves?

This is just more communist horseshit.

Wealth redistribution is just another way of saying “I demand this or that, but I’m too lazy to work for it” and its worth noting the politicians preaching wealth redistribution make sure its not their wealth that gets spread around

I read an interesting post this morning (think it was on Gab).
Ayn Rand was right.
Orwell thought it would be a technological dystopia, Huxley thought it would be a drugged population… Ayn Rand knew it would be a jealous lot that ruined the nation. That’s what commies are, at the end of the day, jealous of those that are more successful than them. That’s what class-war is about. The have-nots want what the haves have.

We are following Atlas Shrugged like it is a documentary.

If the richest voted to make slaves of the rest?

Judging from the wealth distribution over the past few decades, it seems the middle class is falling into the lower classes, and the poor are really using payment plans at Walmart checkout to pay for FOOD. Yes, I saw that even last week.

THINK ABOUT IT. Paying over several months for FOOD you’re going to eat this week. And paying Interest on that debt.

Debt is pretty good chains I’ve noticed from history. I OWE the Company Store has a bad ring to it BUT I must have the latest I-Phone, Starbucks daily, a Huge House like my parents have and so on seems to be economic slavery enough.

Techno tyranny seems easy enough IF we AGREE to BUY and Pay for the cell phone plans to monitor every move we make, listen to our words, even the offline chatter in the room and all that web browsing, data mining. Let alone we BUY our own rolling smart cars, smart TV’s and such.

Who needs rusty ole chains anyway?

Historical note those Barn finds on American Picker of fancy automobiles from the Great Depression era were PUT there by RICH folks (along with firing their drivers and other “useless staff”) to HIDE their wealth and they drove their own new but much more modest cars.

Fancy balls and such once front-page news faded from view. Still happened but only the wealthy were “in the know”.

Thus the “New Deal” and all that happened.

I wonder assuming civilization doesn’t burn all down (nuclear version of the Goths and Vandals) what nightmare will grow under the banner of Islam.

Why did I mention that?

I was startled again to see a bright blue burka lady with a horde of children pushing a huge shopping cart in my little NH town and paying it with her EBT card. SHE’s NOT using that Payment Plan for her groceries.

Our children’s and Grandchildren’s future is looking grim.

@ Michael – Re: “If the richest voted to make slaves of the rest?”

The ruling class powers-that-be are uniting with the lower classes to destroy the middle class. The “Great American Middle Class,” once one of our country’s proudest and most-impressive achievements, is now a fading shadow of what it was fifty years ago or more, as those above and below it in the economic hierarchy vote for its destruction and work for it in other ways. There’s even a name for the outcome, namely the “K-shaped economy.” Top-heavy, bottom-heavy, but light around the middle.

Those who deny that class warfare is going on are ignorant, willfully blind, or both. The evidence speaks for itself.

Once the serfs, err, pardon me, “lower class” have exhausted their usefulness to the ruling class, they’ll be forgotten and again relegated to the dregs of society. At that time, the “New Feudalism” will be a done deal. A small but immensely powerful and wealthy over-class, lording it over a huge sea of wretched poor.

That is the future the globalists intend for humanity.

      Michael · November 30, 2025 at 8:30 pm

      Seems we agree sir.

But I’d suggest you don’t discount the dangers of Islam in your thoughts.

After all the Overclass still needs foot soldiers to keep the serfs under control and Islam has been doing that for longer than America existed.

The EXACT reason why “democracies” ALWAYS fail. Democracies should be labeled as “mob-rule.” While individuals can exercise intellect, mobs ALWAYS devolve to the lowest common denominator (check history, I’ll wait…..)

    Divemedic · November 30, 2025 at 12:02 pm

That was why the founders specifically made sure that taxes were proportioned to the states. That’s why in my opinion, the amendments that were the biggest mistake were (less to more mistaken):
3 19th Amendment- made women and their emotions part of the electoral process. Women voted for Clinton because he was cute, and said so. “Boxers or briefs,” indeed.
2 17th Amendment- turned a constitutional republic into democratic mob rule
1 The 16th Amendment- giving unlimited taxation authority was a big mistake

As a side note, the Federal reserve is unconstitutional. Nowhere in the constitution is the power to create paper currency allowed to Congress or to a private entity. Wilson was an ass. FDR was worse, and Nixon was a royal fuckup.

      Tom235 · December 1, 2025 at 8:33 am

I’d put LBJ on that list before Nixon. Nixon may have been a fuckup but LBJ fucked us all up

        Divemedic · December 1, 2025 at 9:27 am

Nixon eliminated the gold standard. That’s what made this enormous national debt possible. Europe ditched the gold standard in 1914 so they could inflate currency to fund WW1.
Bretton Woods was a disaster, but Nixon’s closing of the gold window was even worse.

Democracy is gang rape.

Steady Steve · November 30, 2025 at 7:11 pm

The .1% are using the ignorant lower class in order to destroy the middle class to prevent any of them from rising up into the upper class and competing for a share of the wealth. The problem is that when the middle class figures out the source of the problem they start building guillotines. And the lower class is only too happy to join in the fun.

Wealth isnt a pie. One person being wealthy doesn’t make another person less so.

      Robert · December 1, 2025 at 11:04 am

There are a great number of people who do believe that wealth is a pie, that more for us means less for them. They act on that belief and work as hard as possible to make sure that when they gain something, others lose. If they fail to make gains, they will still work as hard as possible to make sure that others lose.

That is Envy. It is regarded as a mortal sin in some quarters, and for good reasons.

    ludwig · December 1, 2025 at 1:51 pm

IMHO, they already do prevent anyone from rising to the top, unless he is already on their team.

It seems clear that to achieve anything more than modest wealth, you must take the ticket.

If you do not take the ticket, your best chance is a decent middle class lifestyle after decades of back breaking labor and a bit of luck. Even then, a divorce, a medical issue, or a criminal charge can take you right back into poverty.

Bread and Circuses have become welfare and social media. They will ensure that you never run out of that.

      Divemedic · December 1, 2025 at 4:23 pm

Wrong. It isnt impossible to become wealthy, just difficult, and even harder if you are foolish.
If it were easy, then no one would be wealthy.
