They are openly telling us what they believe and what they are planning. So don’t act surprised when they do it….

I immediately thought of the film “The Patriot” (2000), with Mel Gibson’s character, Benjamin Martin, who delivers the line, “This war will be fought not on the frontier or on some distant battlefield, but amongst us — among our homes. Our children will learn of it with their own eyes.”
Perhaps the quote commonly attributed to Marcus Tullius Cicero can lend assist – “A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.” – CAVEAT – yes I know the quote is in question since the most commonly cited source for this passage is a 1965 paper by Millard F. Caldwell, a Florida Supreme Court justice, who paraphrased Cicero’s sentiments in a fictionalized speech delivered by Cicero before the Roman Senate after his exile.

We live in a smouldering civil war. Most are aloof to the death around them but all are targets. Now this pops up
