Interesting essay, pretty useless all in all as far as “what to do” goes (just another “They’re coming, prepare” post); I left this at Tactical Wisdom (if the comment was accepted):

The “right way” is to vote or write letters … or what? Hasn’t done any good so far.
Prepare? OK. Got my supplies, got my ammo, took my classes. Now what?
The necessary way? Probably armed conflict. Who starts shooting, who/what’s the target, when does the shooting stop, and who wins? What’s the exit plan?
America circa 1985 or even circa 2019 isn’t coming back.

I have one of JD’s books and it is good. That said, I’m with you: the era of the doomsayers is over. I’m weary of Bracken, the Big Fat Expat guy, etc. Only one I still tangentially follow is Yon. And of course the gear test reports right here!

Apathy isn’t it. At 76 yrs old, I’ve aged out of the Rittenhouse division and have transferred to the Samuel Whittemore brigade. I’ll not be going to the front, but if the front is brought to me those that do will regret having done so.

I wonder if the so called “normies” are really oblivious? Yes – many may be, but a lot of people are paying attention and I would’t necessarily think they’re unaware.
Also I’m tired of these guys with a fixed bench position and a scoped rifle proving their marksmanship abilities. That’s fine, but real world SHTF in the street with poor light and unknowns advancing on your position …

I believe in the exchange of ideas, even when we disagree. The rules here are short and easy to understand.

I think JD may be mis-interpreting Apathy for the sensible position of not rushing to the nearest (p)Antifa Protest with an AR and 20 Mags. Most people, even very Red-Pilled ones such as myself, are as Tired of the DoomPron Writers as they are of the communist maggots.
Once you reach a reasonable level of all-around Preparedness, there’s not much to do, other than maybe Encourage the Less Aware/Less Prepared around them.
As I have always believed, As long as the Lights are On, there is Diesel Fuel and cheap Beer at the corner Store, “Food” (or some plastic semblance thereof) at the Grocery, there’s No real Reason to “Get off the Couch” and do Anything more than you already Are doing.
