What they think of us

From the comments to this article:

The AR-15 is the best weapon against a home invasion? Any idiot who believes that is mentally ill and SHOULD NOT own any sort of firearm, including a water gun.

Get that? You should agree that you are not allowed to own a gun, and if you don’t agree, you are obviously crazy and shouldn’t be allowed to own a gun.

The debt, again

Here we go again, another milestone in the destruction of our nation. Just this week, we passed $21 Trillion with regards to our National Debt. President Trump, whose first budget began 6 months ago, has already borrowed about $600 billion. If recent presidential records are any indication, Trump will leave office with the debt somewhere north of $28 Trillion after 4 years, and should he serve a second term, that term will end with the nation having somewhere near $35 trillion in debt.

President Obama’ last budget left us with having borrowed $19.57 Trillion. In all, Obama’s share of our national debt is about $8 Trillion, or an increase of 185%, a increase that is nearly identical to his predecessor.

President George W Bush borrowed his first trillion dollars in two and a half years. He borrowed his second trillion a year and a half later. Another two years, another $1 trillion. All told, President Bush borrowed $5 trillion in 8 years, increasing the national debt by 187%.

It took President Clinton 3 and a half years to borrow his first trillion dollars. All told, he borrowed $1.2 trillion in his first term, and $600 billion in his second. He increased the national debt by 140% in eight years.

George HW Bush borrowed his first trillion in 3 years, and he increased the National debt by 170% in four years.

Reagan borrowed his first trillion in 6 years, and doubled the National debt during his eight years in the White House.

Carter increased the National debt by 150%, but “only” borrowed $300 billion in 4 years. I guess that was when $1 Billion was real money.

Ford increased the debt by 147% in 3 years., Nixon by 135% in 5 years, Johnson by 116% in 6 years, Kennedy by 106% in 2 years, Eisenhower by 108% in eight years.

Democrats, and Republicans, both in a contest to see who can spend the most in our society of “how much can you give me if I vote for you.”

Skimming

I have been in Las Vegas for about a week. Last night, I withdrew some cash from an ATM in the casino located in the New York, New York resort. A few minutes later, someone also withdrew $3,000 from my account, using the same machine.

As soon as I noticed the theft (this morning), I called my bank and disputed the charge. It won’t cost me anything, but my card has been cancelled and they are sending me a new one. I will get it in 7-10 days. I contacted casino security, and they are investigating. It is their problem now, because my bank isn’t going to honor the withdrawal, so the owner of the ATM- the New York, New York casino – is going to be left holding the bag,

This is why I always carry spare credit cards. This is also why I don’t use debit cards. If it had been a debit card, the damage could have been much worse.

Effective immediately

Because of the risk of being subjected to a Gun Violence Restraining order. I am suspending all carry inside of non-permissive environments that are using off duty law enforcement officers as security. I will also be avoiding those establishments. That includes all theme parks, and Orlando’s convention centers.

The anti gun forces could not get seeping gun control passed to their liking, so they passed this law where, based upon a cop’s say-so in a secret court hearing, your guns can be taken without your knowledge, and then you have to go to court to get them back. This will cost you thousands of dollars. You get your due process, but only after the fact, and it will be expensive. The process IS the punishment. This law is sure to be abused.

Rick Scott signed this into law because he is planning on making a run for the US Senate against liberal anti-gun Democrat Bill Nelson. Together with Marco Rubio, another RINO anti-gunner, they are the gun grabbers who need to be voted out. I see little harm in getting rid of all three of them.

I hope the RPOF h a plan for running someone against Scott and Rubio in the primaries. I may change my party affiliation to Republican just so I can primary them out.

No sense whatsoever

A pregnant 15 year old girl from Florida can be driven to Missouri and forced to marry the 30 year old father of her child and he can take his child bride back to Florida, and the marriage totally legal. If she leaves him before 18 because he is abusing her, she is not eligible to enter an abused woman’s shelter. If he stalks her, she can’t even buy a gun to defend herself for three years, because of Florida’s recent gun law denying guns to adults under 21.

Students trust their teachers

The students in Florida have announced a walkout to demonstrate for gun control on April 20th. I don’t believe for a second that most students are walking out on 4/20 for gun rights. This is clever on the part of gun grabbers, because when all of the stoners leave for the day to go get high, the anti gunners will cheer at how socially aware these children are.

Anyway, as a part of this, our Principal has told the teachers to sit down and have a conversation with their students about the issues at hand so that the students feel like their concerns are being heard. So, sit down with them I did. We had a discussion about all of the issues surrounding campus security. After about a 10 minute discussion, they were assigned to write a paper informing the reader of three to five things that we could change about school that would make them feel safer.

There were 118 papers turned in to me. Of those:

92 of them said that arming teachers to defend themselves would make them feel safer. Some suggested that the teacher actually carry, and about a third suggested that the teacher’s weapon be kept in a biometric safe that would open only to an authorized teacher’s fingerprint. Opening the safe would set off an alarm in the office. Some suggested that it only be teachers who were veterans, or retired police.

Ten said we should have more SRO’s. One of those ten admitted it would be expensive and potentially cost millions, but further stated that price should be no object when it comes to safety. He also suggested raising taxes to cover it.

There were another six who were opposed to arming teachers, with two saying that teachers might become angry with students and shoot them for acting out in class or not doing their homework. Interestingly, both of these students were black, and in two different class periods.

98 of them felt that the schools should be fenced with access control. 15 of them were opposed to fences, saying that they did not want their schools to look like a prison. Three of them wanted to surround the schools with electric fences.

Two students felt that students with firearms experience should be permitted to be armed.

What does all of this mean? Teens are not as unified in demanding gun control as the press and politicians would have you believe.
