The new house is getting closer to completion. It looks like it will be finished and we will be closing in about 4 to 5 weeks.

Exciting times – a new abode is good. We’ve been in our current home 30 years. A lot has happened since 1993 😀

If you can, do walkthroughs as things progress. I was able to walk through my new-construction house from the time the frame went up, which was good for two reasons. First, I was able to photograph where all the electrical, plumbing and telephone lines were in the walls. Second, I saw a couple of things that needed to be addressed (e.g. ceiling fan box in the wrong place) that were much easier to fix before the drywall went up.
